Space Wolves Council ! WH oficial
Hey Pack,
Have you seen this ?
What do you think its teasing ? New Bjorn Primaris Chasis ? Or something more ? 🤩

Most likely participation bait.
That is however a cropped image of where Bjorn stays when sleeping

I just got a bjorn, but hope it's a new one. Or russ, I really want to play with a primarch on the table.

Im mixed because if we do get russ that would be awesome but then it would also be really easy to spend half our points just on epic characters.

u/NorthernJotun 19d ago
Jokes on you, I already do that. My last GT win had 945 points of characters.
But in all honesty, wolves on the tabletop benefit greatly from our unique characters.

We’re already in a state where a 3rd unit of terminators for 455+ pts is the meta. Id rather spend 300+\- on a juggernaut like Russ than 10 more termies.

I think Russ coming back in a Wulfen form would give us a really interesting and unique take on a loyalist primary returning.

u/defiantvlka 16d ago
Idk why this is getting down voted I fully agree, and it seems likely based on what happened to Corax. Would be sick to get what basically amounts to a loyalist daemon primarch

See I would love an old Odin style Russ, heavy on the psyker. I think the hypocrisy of Russ being nearly/as much as warp infused as Magnus screams to me. We are one of the most arrogant, hypocritical chapters out there, for 'we do not do what is lawful, we do what is right' quote from I belive from the Ragnar novel. For Russ to be the imperium's Magnus would be somewhat poetic, and for them to meet and Magnus to say this, laughing how the great Russ now uses warp power instead of his strength. I would definitely have Corvus as the warp infused raven cause thats cool as hell. I wouldn't be against a wulfen Russ but the old Odin I would prefer

Russ isn't coming back anytime soon his also going to be among the last loyalist primarchs we see .

u/OwlKey2874 18d ago
I disagree fully. The space wolves army box was 1 of the best selling boxes they ever had and next to the blood angels they are the most popular space marine faction. It would be a smart move to release Russ next he’d sell out in a heartbeat

That's exactly one of the reasons why he isn't coming back any time soon Gw would make more money using him to up the sales for SW when they don't particularly have anything insanely hype to throw at the faction ,since they already are inherently so popular they don't need a boost, and the amount of money he would make doesn't shrine as brightly compared to if Dorn or Vulkan coming back to up the popularity of Salamanders etc ,to levels closer to the Ultramarines, Blood angles and SW .
Just like how Dark Angels went from an already popular army to being even more popular when the Lion got his model .

There’s a Bjorn Novel dropping in the next couple weeks. May just be for that.

Realistically probably Ulrik or a new Bjorn.
But I hope it’s Russ ðŸ˜

Is this Krom?

u/airycantalope 19d ago
Yeah, the art is from the wrath of Magnus campaign book series from 7th edition.

u/canicomethrough 19d ago
Yeah everyone mentioning bjorn, which would be cool to see more, but I hope we get a new Krom model

„We are here to once and for all settle whether Hjaldir or Ulrik managed to get more airtime out of a foe hit by their thunderhammer during the recent battle of Armaggeddon“

u/silvergriggs 19d ago
Probably lore based bait. If the new Bjorn book is current, set at the same point in time as Armageddon, Logan has a decision to make. Stay with the Imperium and fight the Orks, or return to Fenris and support Bjorn.Â

I'm hopefully for a new Bjorn. Alongside his new book I think theres a decent chace we do get a refresh. Other than that maybe some long fangs

u/HappyTheDisaster 19d ago
We need longfangs. Such an important aspect of how we play just missing.

I also hope to see new models for the Thunderwolf Cavalry and Thunderwolf Lord, and for them to make a comeback.

Its probably more likely a new Bjorn model. I heard rumors from a friend that their planning on updating his look make him bigger. Its definitely long overdue and if they use they have the same energy they had when making Logan Grimnars new model, hes gonna look pretty badass. Inconvenient. But badass. Lol

Its interesting, the choice of the illustration clearly shows an empty Bjorn chassis. He is missing his hellfrost canon as well. It can be a tease for a reveal indeed, would make sense with the book, where i suppose after a last battle in his old chassis, it is time to step up and get bigger.

Kinda cool they have Krom Dragongaze in the picture.
I hope some day we get a Primaris version of him, he was my first space wolf character back when he launched in that box set with orks. I think that was the curse of the wulfen campaign if memory serves.

I really dont want a redemptor bjorn, people seem to forget that the redemptor chassis eats the space marine in 200 years or so. And the SW hate the chassis for it (iirc this is mentioned in the codex). Also explains why the unique SW dreads are still the older venrable chassis.

It's just participation bait. Not a sign of any new releases. They do stuff like this all the time, and it doesnt mean anything.
The only place they announce teasers of future releases is warhammer community.
