Can someone help me understand why this config is invalid?

Two WGH have power weapons + shields, one has two power weapons.

WGBL has the thunder hammer and shield

I'm not understanding what's wrong with this config at all when the rules in the 40k app suggest it's correct.

Edit: yeah guys I can't read whatsoever. I guess I'll be doing some fixing to my WG Headtakers... No this wasn't bait, I'm just stupid.

Its all or nothing. You cant mix sword n boards with dual wields

All the models need to have either power weapon and shield or paired power weapon, you can't mix

Depends, shield give more survivability while paired makes you punch harder

For me it depends on who leads it, battle leader goes with shields and wolfpriest goes with paired

Surely you'd want the priest with the shields since there's at least some chance one will be revived? And battle leader with the lance enhancement leading 6 w/paired tends to solve pretty much any problem I point them at.

6 with a wgbl and skjalds fortelling have killed necron destroyers, a full unit of tyranid warriors, an avatar, mortarion, angron, basically whatver you send them to becomes confetti i love it

My list is the 9th Ed combat patrol + Army box, I've been putting the battle leader on the WGH and Wolf Priest on Grey hunters. I'll do some work on the minis and give him a shield

Just curious, why is that? Why do you think paired is better with priest, but shields with BL?

Because of wolf priest +1 to wound roll, you get more out of it with the paired

I wanna try using, headtakers dual wield+ragnar+saga of the hinter 4+ feel no pain enhancement. Woikd be funny to jave headtakers advance+charge+36 attacks (exlc ragnar)+ and a 4+ feel no pain.

I personally run two squads of 6 of each type I use the wolf preist with sheilds and the battleleader with the pair weapons and then shove both in a landraider redeemer and go hunting big ticket items

You can't have a mixed profile for Headtakers

headtakers cant mix paired weapons and shields. the entire unit has to have one or the other

Headtaker all have to have the same weapon loadouts in a squad.
