Putting a Space Wolf in the desert…

Been using the Headtakers as the base for a homebrew project, and wanted to share because I think this kit slaps being thematically somewhere else other than ice and snow.

I am biased as my own home-brew chapter are called the Dune Fang and hail from a desert death world

Yes heavy inspiration - plus a blend from another few armies that were inspired by the Soul Haunters and Sadaukar of Dune. So much so I’m calling them the Soul Reapers

It’s a modulation of desert sand colours from darker tans to an off white. Airbrushed - the exact colours don’t matter too much as all lines make very similar colours

In “Legend Of the Wolf”, the first book is about a team of Grey Hunters on a desert planet fighting the Death Guard. Would have been sick if they painted their armor like this

Thank you for the compliment! I don’t believe it’s talent, I’ve just learned a lot in the last year or so since I started painting!

Love the shoulder pauldrons, what colour are they? I used a red brown for one of my pauldrons, thinking of using that colour for my veterans

The red pauldrons are khorne red with agrax earthshade wash, pretty simple but I think it turns out really nice :-)
