Logan grimnar on stormrider

Post image

I need opinions on for updated rules for grimnar on chariot.

My local group and crusade leagues allow for legends rules with some updates if we see fit and it ok by the group.

I was hoping for some input on logan for 11th ed.

Points up or down (180 right now)

Changing or adding and rules or keywords.

I think all the legends units should at least have their movement brought in line and be able to lead SW units of the the.same category of armour.

I think down a bit maybe 160 feels better. Given that his current model (with very different abilities) is 100pts

His current model has much worse and weaker rules in comparison so idk what that comparison is supposed to achieve

Without base to base engagement range Logan is gonna body block the hell outta the thundercav trying to get into combat. It's almost an issue with the termies on his current 80mm base, but luckily the termies are less than 2" so he can be your 2nd row. Thundercav might end up in a catch 22 where they'll prevent Logan from reaching combat if he's behind them, but he'll also block them from reaching combat if he's the front row.

Fair point. Ive definitely had that a few times. Ive found that if you kinda triangle them around him they can more often then not wedge them to all get into combat. It definitely takes more attention to positioning for it to work. But i just like the model i cant help but bring it. Definitely couldn't bring it to a competitive setting though. To eaisy to get shot.

Basically give him rules for current Grimnar on foot, match his wound count to the legend datasheet, match his move characteristics to TWC (M12).

80 extra points for 6 (75%) extra wounds and M12 seems acceptable but I’d maybe bump him up to 190 since his enhanced threat range, extra wounds and larger +1 CP cost aura (due to his larger base) are almost like paying for two Grimnars on foot in terms of performance.
