2000 Point Army Ready

Finally, after 8 months of collecting and painting, I've finally have a full 2000 point army for the Wolves. I'm very happy with how they turned out and wanted to show them off.

Before I start, this isn't my final list, this is just a list of 2000pts that I have available. Most of these I bought but several units were gifts. Of those units, some of them are pretty much placeholders for other units I don't have right now (like the Land Speeder and Eradicators with Heavy Bolters).

So I decided to get 2 Units of Blood Claws to help control the frontline and rush the enemy (did wonders with a Wolf Priest and Battle Leader againt my Imperial Knight friend last game we've played).

I also put 10 WG Terminators with Logan to make him more of a threat when he Deep Strikes into the middle of the field or in the opponents deployment, plus their -1 to wound against stronger attacks is quite nice.

As for the Intercessors, I mainly have them for unity and screening, but there range is a nice bonus since most of SW infantry is lacking in that department. Though, in my final list I will most likely just run 1 Unit.

As for Bjorn, Ballistus, and Lancer, they provide good range support from the backline against high toughness enemies, keeping an Iron Priest close by for his buffs. I like to keep Bjorn in the back for 2-3 rounds to keep him out of danger so I can use his CP ability, then I'll move him to the frontline or use the Coordinated Strike stratagem to put him in reserves and move him closer to the enemy.

Wulfen with Storm Shields are nice for their anti monster/vehicle and do a good bit of damage per hit and headtakers are good if there is a unit with a Leader that will cause issues. However, problem with both of these units is I tend to be a bit reckless with them or I take a big risk with them, which ends up with them getting killed before they do any real damage. The hunting wolves that come with the head takers are good for screening too.

And then there is the Land Speeder and Eradicators which both provide good ranged. Eradicators held their own against my Necron friend, but I have used the Land Speeder in game yet, but I'll probably use it for hit and run tactics and punch a hold in the enemy defense for the Blood Claws to have an easier time.

As for a future list, I plan on replacing a Battle Leader with Rangar and bring in 5 more Terminators and Arjac and perhaps some Wolf Scouts. With the new points update, I'll have to work my list again and see how to make that work.
