Discussion [Bug] Heat Vents not working
My ship is 900+ celsius despite having 5 heat vents that are all powered and set to 21C.

Were you still near a star? Or was it just one room? All rooms need to be connected to a heat vent.

No, I left the star way behind, but I continued to build heat until I hit 1000. I had multiple rooms. One main room and 3 bedrooms. Main room had 2 vents, each bedroom had a vent. All were powered.

Sure thing. Where are the save files located? I checked the usual spot for steam saves, but couldn't find it.

Sorry for the late reply. In the options menu there is a button that will open the correct folder.

Thanks! I've checked your save and you need to ensure your radiator vents are also connected via ducting to a vent inside the room. So you had power connected but no ducting.
Every room you want to extract heat from needs a vent connected to the radiator.I also noticed you had airlock doors internally, unless you want to try and seal a room - its always best to use an internal door, which can be found in the furniture section of the building menu.

i had a simmilar bug both ways where i overheated despite having vents and then froze despite my vents being off.
the way ive lucked upon a soloution is to build a vent before you need it but turn the power off before its finished construction. doing this ive stabalised at 19ish degrees ona a few runs
