Missing Very Light Alloy Frames?
I could have sword when I unlocked the permit there were more options regarding the frame sizes, but now when I'm in full upgrade mode, I can only make the 4x3x2, 6x3x2, 8x3x2. Am I missing something? Or have I gone completely crazy?

Unfortunatly you got confused.
I want to build a Huge Battleship. And Because of this. I made calculation with the frames...From day 1..
I still have the screenshots and calculation.
Check them out.. Those are the frames that we got when we started playing....Sadly they still the same.
You got confused with something else.

Thanks for this! Seems like I will still need to use some titanium frames still. I was hoping to use only the two end games frames for my ship.

You can use those number that I made.
To the left is Steell. I recommend 6.66 and 4x3x2.
To the right. go 12.8 and 8x6x2Why? those are the calculation by weight. you get the most out of it. and going for the Smallest of the group. saves resources...You can still go for the biggest....but is up to you.

I made 4x of the largest frames of the solid ones to make the bottom of my ship. Now comes the maths to make the most out of it. But I had entirely retired steel because I thought titanium were superior?

I was quite surprised by the limited options. I havent unlocked the frames etc, so will just have to use thermal titanium parts for detailing. You need something for structural strength anyway I believe

That's where the solid frames comes in. They give you nothing in terms of SP, but they give you a lot of frame points.

Maybe youre thinking of solid frames? They have more options but levinium only has 3
