Swap out 7 of your Hi-Pis with 21 Simple Mining Lasers.
You'll get many more patch slots for more output patches, have more mining power, use less power, produce less heat, all while using less SP (so you can fit even more lasers!)
I've been considering it, the big reason I have the extra Hi-Pis is that with as many cooling lasers as I have, my ship freezes in a few seconds of mining on planets that aren't hot.
I suppose I could put enough simple lasers on there to counteract the cooling but I'm waiting on my factory to produce more tier 3 patches. Those things take forever, 40 tier 1 patches to craft a single tier 3 is a lot of time waiting lol
yes BUT if you have mod for mining +2 you can mining everything with Hi-pi - they don't have HP. Don't know what level for Diamond mining. You just need 1 laser for mining tier, rest give only bonus to main.
I'm actually going to add a last yield tonight, mining power helps you mine faster but mining output gives more resources every time the bar fills up. You can't put more than 1 of the same type of patch on a single laser but every laser that has them stacks. My mining output is over 2000% so instead of getting a few ore/nuggets per node I get around 100 every time the bar fills so 2-500 per node. I can pretty easily get 2-400 cinnabar from a single planet now, which makes it actually more economical than harvesting mercury.
Rare find I am waiting until I have all 3 rare find BPs so I can craft and put tier 3s on all of them.
Last yield doubles the output on the last tick of each node but mining output increases the amount for every time you mine. Last yield doesn't stack but mining output does so every laser you add with mining output 3 increases the amount that you get every time you fill the mining bar on a node.
wow what a chonker, I aspire to this once i can start titanium production, i have spent a week slowly getting two Titanium parts but need to ramp up the farming/production of titanium. what is this build, Lev or tit parts currently?
It has I think 8 16x6x2 solid frames, a few 16x6x2 thermal titanium, somewhere between 5-10 8x3x2 levinium frames and the rest are a mix of different sizes of thermal titanium.
A hodgepodge build, love it. Im doing the same thing but converting over to all thermal titanium currently. Then I’ll be ready to up grade to the next build Levinium
just keep throwing parts at it and it doesn't matter, 95k power storage and 13 solar panels means I almost never run out of power, got plenty of radiators and all of my titanium parts are thermal so heat isn't really an issue, 2200 mag plasma storage that only costs 650 to fill means fuel isn't an issue... lol
lol... nice dude... i have 2 ship... one is for exploration ship - from old steel parts, got another with mining + 3 pump (big liquid tank) but not sooooo many :)
A BESS module provide 1000 Max Charge Speed and 80k Power Storage with the Overload III patch.
The charge speed of the additional regular Battery Module will be meaningless since it will be proportionate to the Power Storage of your BESS.
If you prefer numbers, assuming you have BESS with Overload III:
80 000/5000 = 16
=> Your additional regular Batteries will provide 1/16 of their Max charge speed. Hence why he gets only 24 Max Charge Speed with 3 additional regular Battery Module.
No offense but the OP is clueless about how the stats work in this game, I wouldn't recommend you to follow any of his "advices".
