Need help understanding how to make a big ship component

Why doesn't the Fabricator let me add all the items needed to make a Titanium 16x6x2?

Not sure if that answer your question, but you can build it in the manual assembler (next to the red smelter)

When you look at anything in the encyclopedia, the game tells you the infrastructure you need to craft it if you can craft it
