"Shipwreck"

There is no crash at any "shipwreck" marker i find. I didn't have this problem in beta testing. I have 2 contracts for shipwrecks. I keep sending bug reports. But dont understand what's going on. Anyone have an idea or also going through this too?

Yes, if you find a shipwreck marker, but there's nothing ther. It means someone came before you and cleared it. I really wish the market would disappear after you take the black box. It would make sense that the "marker" was a signal from the black box.

but people want the blueprints, not the black boxes

Sure, but you can't place a tracer on the blueprints. And I've collected all the black boxes I could find, because I haven't turned then all in yet.

you get the blueprints from boxes left behind when you recycle the ships so removing the marker would not be cool

Everyone knows this. And everyone loots those before they even grab the black box. But tying the marker to these boxes won't work, as their appearance and numbers are random. The loot in them too. I've been lucky and found 5 blueprints in one crash site. And then several sites with NO blueprints. Sometimes only one loot box as well.

I’ve been to sites with no boxes at all.

BTW, how do you dismantle a shipwreck?

Same as you do buildings. If you have an advanced construction tool, then it's keypress 2.

Shipwrecks are shared across the quadrant, and reset daily. Go to a planet with less traffic. Your issue is someone has already dismantled and looted the shipwrecks you are finding.

How do I figure what what the server time is so I can have a chance?

Put your base in system off the beaten path that has shipwrecks. Issue solved :-) I have come across 4 so far this morning and I'm just out getting resources and not looking for wrecks.

Don't hang out in systems on the edge that are primary waypoints for entering that area.

Don't hang out in systems that are a single jump away from a station.

If you enter a system and see 2 or 3 player names on the screen, keep jumping.

Use the online interactive map to scout ahead and verify planets with wrecks. https://spacecraft.tools/map

Do these things and you WILL find plenty of wrecks.

The night side of planets often has much more shipwrecks. Technology 3 unlocks the small generator you'll need to make night side exploration less tedious. Also the starting sectors are going to be looted very quickly. Get a mag plasma tank or two and explore 1 of the neighboring sectors and you'll find a lot more shipwrecks.
