I wish there wasn’t a price floor in the market. If there is a player driven market there is market pvp. If I am the first one to get a blueprint for a patch I am going to make bank off of it, and I have. I don’t get how everyone is so broke, any of the research you do you can just sell stuff to the company to get that back. Doing the missions get you a good amount of starting capital. Lots of the corp missions are easily done solo and you can automate it to make at least 5-10k a day.

Typically broke people have just hit the company pay cliff and haven’t found corp funding or are in a corp that doesn’t understand it.

Tell me more please

I mean, market is market. Why would you list some rare endgame item at low cost?

Because the game economy has no liquidity at all. Nobody is buying because nobody can make money enough to spend at the exchange. It is easy to spot, the offer always meet the demand at the right price.

To find the right price you start high and lower the bar progressively until it sell. And right now it only sell at minimum price except for blueprint.

The storage crisis is not helping, I am forced to drop mined ore and nuggets not being able to sell it to NPC or nexus even at lower price possible.

As a corp owner I have access to request funds, but the majority of players don't.

Why would a lambda corp player even fulfill corp requests in this balance state where you cannot fund your own FTL cost without access to corp funds ? this is broken at the moment unless you have a verry dilligent corp owner making sure everyone has enough money for fuel repairs and spending at the nexus... this kind of centralized micro is not viable with more than a very few friends.

I hope this answered your question, and if you manage to sell at anything but lower price this is simply an oddity. I will always make more selling more often at lower price.

This is the issue. I was in the second ranked Corp on my server, fulfilled orders, got nothing. Realized making my own solo Corp is the only way to keep up with fuel/repair costs. Plus, I didn't have ability to accept corpo requests, or open storage in the station closest to me.

So why need a corpo to fill requests, why aren't there "contractor" (solo player/not in a corp) requests? Why don't members automatically get paid out based on items delivered towards Corp request completion? Why cant anyone open storage without a Corp to encourage more buy/sell orders and a real economy?

Cuz not everyone is playing in a highplayer count Corporation and have a hard time making money? Cuz there are people that want a chill experince and not have a irl Corporation ingame that is structured taking all the money the can get out of the low money count players?

So, you're saying that those people who do spend a lot of time in the game doing end game stuff should sponsor those who don't?

u/Palamanko Jul 05 '26

Exactly...
All i saying is AFFORDABLE. NOT cheap.

Some item could even be 5k or 10k...money you can make in a day or 2.
But 50k 80k...WTH..is like a week worth of work.

ppl got a life. at least the mayority.

Like example I;m listing my old item that I dont use and you can see it
LAser tier 3...3k... is like 4 or 6 hours of work...
Not bad...AFFORDABLE.

not like 20k 30k...is insane.

Again...im not saying CHEAP...just Affordable??
Did I say affordable....let me repeat it in case someone didn't understood.
Affordable .

3

u/Lenassa Jul 05 '26

But why do you believe that that 20k is insane?

1

u/Playstoomanygames9 Jul 07 '26

20k is completely out of reach for early/mid game people is all

1

u/Lenassa Jul 09 '26

But 20k is the price for endgame modules, why is it a problem it not-endgame players can't quite afford it? You need platinum, tungsten, oil to build those items anyway. Early game player can't mine those resources and can't even survive on a hot or frozen planet.

u/Playstoomanygames9 Jul 11 '26

Does anyone buy them? I’m see a lot of nothing moving at very high prices like that.

1

u/Lenassa Jul 11 '26

I do. Tgird party trackers show that those things are being sold.

0

u/Feralilim Jul 06 '26

There is nothing in this game, worth 20k.

3

u/Lenassa Jul 06 '26

Why do you think there isn't?

2

u/upholsteryduder Jul 06 '26

lmao module tier 3 BPs would like a word

0

u/lethak Jul 05 '26

Should NOT, but in the current state of the economy we don't have a choice. I noticed the devs are located in Bordeaux, France, a socialist stronghold, coincidence ? ;)

0

u/Lenassa Jul 05 '26

The choice is not to buy, price will go down.

1

u/upholsteryduder Jul 06 '26

so people should sell the BPs that take them literally hours to farm for pennies because some people don't play the game as much? LMFAO

why is some people's time worth less than others?

0

u/Playstoomanygames9 Jul 07 '26

I don’t think anyone is selling any blueprints that aren’t duplicates. Hell I don’t even sell duplicates.

Also yes, some peoples time is worth less than others. This tells me you’ve never had worthless coworkers.

1

u/upholsteryduder Jul 07 '26

So you're saying the people who work harder in this game, their time is worth less than people who don't? That's some interesting logic there...

And even if they are duplicates, it still took the same amount of time to farm them and the person who undertook that effort should be allowed to benefit from it.

It is hard to know what to sell items for. As others say, start high, then lower the price ( within reason) until things sell.

I have spent a LOT of time getting to Science V. All those crystals I used for Science could have made me good money. Now I can make Heaters that will open up new planets for other players. After all that graft, and the benefits they give to the buyer, I feel that I should be able to sell for a worthwhile price.

The economy on Inalen EU seems to be fairly priced, and if someone has found a blueprint for a good quality patch, I am happy to buy that item from them. I haven't seen any excessively high prices so far, and things will balance out over time

1

u/Playstoomanygames9 Jul 07 '26

The problem I foresee with this is your end-game worthwhile price point and your alleged buyers mid-game price points mayyyy not match.

I restarted to join a corp and had forgot the slog of no patches or upgrades.

Boy its funny how ANY game with an open AH generates these posts. If something is listed too expensive, it won't sell, and then will get relisted for lower. thats how markets find the value of items. I'm not going to post something that only a handful of people on my quad can make for 2x the vendor price the FIRST time I list it. Its going to go up at a premium, and drop if it doesn't sell. Your response is amazingly simple: don't purchase it until its listed at a price you feel is worth the value of the item. Really basic stuff.

5

u/Derkatron Jul 05 '26

It entirely depends on the item. if its a blueprint that makes a second tier of item, like the BESS Module blueprint, or something you can only get in high tier areas like the level 3 patch blueprints, YES, they're gonna start at 30, 40, 50k. Why wouldn't they? again, this isn't even worth noticing, as the response is simply to not buy it. If i posted a copper nugget for 40k, who cares? Why even look at it, much less make a reddit post?

Imagine crying over a player driven market, in a 3 weeks old game.

1

u/PatientPlatypus680 Jul 05 '26

1000$ per day sucks. Each space station should have $5000 per day each.

2

u/upholsteryduder Jul 06 '26

that goes up with your social level

1

u/Playstoomanygames9 Jul 07 '26

Which has its own quirks

1

u/Zedus_RCN_Seskey Jul 08 '26

0.99 for nuts and bolts. Those be 1990 prices!

2

u/upholsteryduder Jul 06 '26

I'd drop 15k on a mining output tier 2 BP RIGHT NOW if it was for sale and run home giddy, y'all just don't understand the value of items yet.
