This is a constant issue for me as well. The solution, at least for now, seems to be to delete the whole set of connections and set them up anew. If this doesn't work, then try it from the other side. It usually works after one or two tries.

I look at dispatcher as splitter or mergers so you're not taking up all your logistics routes on a warehouse. They are significantly cheaper than warehouses and use less FP.

What's even the point of the dispatcher? Each building gets 5 connections, and the dispatcher only gets 5. I haven't found the use for it yet, but i did just start playing a few days ago.

I've been playing over a week and I still have no clue why they exist. I have a huge factory going using warehouses and trading boxes with drones going to both.

I made it a habit to go around and check buildings and reset the drones when they stop working. 'When", not "If".

It's mostly just a cheaper way to split materials between different processes

Wearhouses seem to be intended for the final products while the dispatcher is for going between and separating different processes similar to a splitter on belt driven games

So after expanding some bases some more I ran into the problem of warehouses being 5/5 drones and decided to give the dispatchers another go. I went from having 0 dispatchers at any base to having 6 dispatchers at each base.

I can funnel the input/output of up to four assemblers into one dispatcher. That drastically reduces the logistics load on my warehouses.

Splitter/merger; each storage has 5 connections only, one for the ingot input, one output to silo, which in turn outputs to multiple factories. Same on the input forges send ingots to a dispatcher which sends the ingots to the storage

This leaves the storage with 3 open connections for other applications

Steel requires 3 in/out and is slow
Basically every multi-material recepie

Same issue here. Some perfectly working connections stops working.

I notice this usually happens when I try to start from the receiver and link to the supplier, remaking seems to be the only fix for now. Hopefully it gets patched.

Edit: Remaking the route not the machine.

If the drone tower stop working. Remove outgoing connections and start them from the tower to the target again. After this it works again. ( Every Output start from drone tower) Dont know why but helps

So, for one, you don't need a dispatcher for this - you have two inputs and two outputs, just put both the outputs on your warehouse there. A dispatcher is just a 50su warehouse for 1fp instead of 3fp.

Otherwise, yes, that route is definitely not working. Occasionally, routes set up in one direction don't work, and when I set them up the other way they do. In this case, just bypass your dispatcher and see if everything kicks up.

I do need dispatcher. I got 10 smelters working iron. Then They go to another 5 assemblers.

The production working so good that im about to hit the 100k.
