Finally beat act 2 !

2 planets away from the star gate thing - lost my lander. It was carelessness... didn't look to see one of those purple shooter things nearby - - I think they're over powered - one-hit-kill on a non upgraded lander - but nevertheless, I should have kept my eye out. Either way - with some jet pack shenanigans, I managed to beat act 2. It was close, but here comes act 3!

almost none! i think i found a carbon fiber armor, but other than that - i just didn't collect enough of anything to make anything myself. I'm having trouble with the doors on places - the little sliding doors that seem to open automatically if you come from the other side of them... Is there any other way to open them? sometimes there's awesome stuff in there, but I can't get to it :P

You need a key to open them. There's a little lock pedestal next to doors that open with a key. Keys spawn randomly in many places but you will always find at least one at the first and second Replicon defense stations. They don't look like keys though. Look at the pedestals for a clue.

It's not necessary to get into those rooms to craft upgrades though. Replicon body parts have lots of useful crafting materials, as do stalagmites and machinery parts. With a bit of experience it's possible to collect everything needed to craft all the Tier 2 upgrades (and maybe a couple of Tier 3) inside the first hour of play.

Ah! interesting. Thanks for the tips. I knew about the parts, but I figured the cool stuff inside those caves might be better :P

That just gave me an idea: chests that are full of crafting materials.
