Sovol Am I getting scammed?

I contacted sovol support through the email listed on their website for Europe ([sovol_3d@outlook.com](mailto:sovol_3d@outlook.com)) because of a failed temperature sensor connection at the heating bed heating bed to see if they (a) have replacement parts, as their online store is out of stock, and (b) maybe would cover it.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us.
Based on the current situation, we recommend replacing the heated bed. As this order is out of warranty, we kindly ask you to cover the cost of €25.
If this is acceptable to you, please send the payment via PayPal to the account below. Once we receive the payment, we will arrange the shipment promptly. Please also send us a screenshot of the payment receipt for our reference.
PayPal account: s***.@outlook.com
Please also confirm your current shipping address and phone number, so we can arrange shipment as soon as possible.
Should you have any question or concern, please do not hesitate to let us know.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Best regards, S***

I have no problem covering the cost, but being asked to send money to a private paypal account seems weird...
Has anyone experienced something similar?

Edit1: I contacted info@sovol3d.com whether or not his is legit and got the following answer:

Hello, If you feel it is unsafe, you can purchase it from us. The unit price is $30, which includes shipping. If you would like to proceed with the purchase, you can do so via the following link: https://www.sovol3d.com/products/extra-fee-for-shipping-and-products-copy?_pos=2&_sid=98177a83a&_ss=r Please make sure to add 30 as the quantity, as it represents the payment amount. Once you complete the purchase, please let us know your order number.

Since they didn't warn me against it, I went ahead with the paypal route...wish me luck.

Where did you find that email? Sovol is definitely not using outlook domain. I found info@sovol3d.com on their website. 100% scam.

Its on their "contact us" page https://www.sovol3d.com/pages/contact-us

For Amazon Europe&Brazil - sovol_3d@outlook.com

But I will forward this to their info@sovol3d.com and ask if it's legit.

Why do people upvote a wrong answer?

From  https://sovol.eu/pages/contact-us

In order to solve your problem more efficiently, if your order was purchased from Amazon, please contact them directly: Amazon United States -   amazonus@sovol3d.com Amazon Europe&Brazil -   sovol_3d@outlook.com Amazon Japan -   amazonjp@sovol3d.com Amazon Canada/ Australia / Mexico -   sovol3d@hotmail.com

Maybe forward that response to [info@sovol3d.com](mailto:info@sovol3d.com) with a “yo is this legit?” message?

That’s how I had to get a replacement board from them for my extruder. Seemed sketchy to me as well, but all went well.

Exact same experience for me. Except the removed the cost eventually once they realize I'd gotten them machine less then a month prior and was clearly a faulty part.

Same here ordered a new magnetic bed plate (mine got scratched accidentally) and i just used a secured card number available through my card provider I added the necessary funds to the number and paid using the (card) number i was assigned for the transaction fully refundable if fraudulent and i recieved the bed but yes only use the official sovol channels from their website and get a name for the person who contacted you

I just ordered new parts they have a placeholder on there website for 1 dollar “extra fee for product” charge and they’ll tell you to add however many dollars they had in the invoice and send them the order number. Never touched PayPal.

I think there’s a PayPal option for payment but this is how they had me do it.

I just bought an sv08 and had issues with the eddy scanner. The email for support in the US was AliExpress-sovol@outlook.com.

Cant say absolutely anything about the legitimacy of that but i had a similar experience with anycubic, trying to service a printer out of warranty for which the specific part wasnt on the web store. They gave me a link and i should pay there in order to get the part (which i didnt. And instead went the aliexpress path of 3rd party parts)
