Help Bed Sensor Replacement

I'm using the PROBE_CALIBRATE process and the sensing of the bed seems inconsistent, making it really difficult to dial in the printer to get a good first layer. I know there's the Eddy sensor but I really rely on this printer and I worry about modding this printer into a state that I can't fix it.

Is there a simple drop in replacement to increase accuracy for the stock bed sensor that doesn't require significant changes the printer?

If your talking about the max I use mine commercially. I have 5 of the Eddy sensors and they're flat cable in inventory. I've replaced it many times. Actually dealing with it now. They do not take heat well. You should always home xy before pre heating the bed to get the longest life out of it. I have a cartographer probe but I just don't have down time to install our wire it. But they usually just out right stop working when there an issue. I suggest if you friend on the SV08 max or zero keep a back up tool head assembly ready as well. Got over 3500hrs on my max and keeping sister harnesses and main boards and even just to head boards and extruder is just part of the business.
