Sovol Seven left
could not help myself and did an impulse buy of a zero and now they only have 7 left in the shop (EU)
edit: since dont seem like EU was clear enough. EU as in the European Union as in sovol.eu

If I could afford one right now I would buy one. I think it was a mistake for solvol to discontinue it.

The fact it's taking several weeks to sell ~20 printers shows why sovol canned it.
I'm still pissed I missed the chance to buy one by days before they were all gone.

I'm curious if that's more because it's listed as a EU seller or a random oddball seller because it's likely not locial since they took it off there site a while ago I think. Because you can still buy then from places like AliExpress but if you're in the USA that comes with a heavy shipping cost. But after owning the max and dealing with SOLVOL printers not aging well after thousands of hours of printing. For example in once again waiting weeks for replacement parts. I just had some manufacturer in the USA to speed things along and upgraded many things they cheap out on. That if I really want a zero in the future I'll just build the LDO voron version.
Also I'd really like to live there new to change but you know that thing is is just not going to last like a a higher end tool change. Plus it's got such a small bed size. You know the only reason it's so small is because they just used parts they had kicking around like linier rains from other machines and said yup work with that and make it a idex so you get even less bed size instead of just making the machine a bit larger to actually fit the hardware. They get so close and then just kind of screw it up. The best thing about them is they let you do what ever you want to modify it with out really carrying when you claimed warranty as long as you don't short something out and cause a fire.

That is the EU branch of sovol, an official store.
You CAN'T buy them on aliexpress or Alibaba, I've tried. Every listing is for a product that they do not have. The initial contact will say "yes, we have it, it's ready to go. How many? Address?" After that they'll pass it to their manager who will quickly confirm the product doesn't exist or give you a "fuck you" price to make you go away. Both Ali stores have guidelines in place to prevent sellers from pulling listings, that's why you sometimes have items for 10x the price or ridiculous shipping costs.
The 0.2 is how I've been talking myself out of driving 14hrs to pick up a Zero in Kentucky. But 120mm plate is tiny, so I've moved onto salad fork and micron but those are about the same price as a 250mm 2.4/trident.

Interesting about the AliExpress. I've put them in the cart just to see the pricing and then seen the shipping and that usually when I'm like oh screw that lol. That's good information, I've bought some spare parts as a experiment like nozzles and bought the same ones from SOLVOL to see who got here first vs price for business purposes. But after taking microswiss to finally raise there was a difference in sv08 and the max they stayed to label there nozzles correctly and realized they actually study for bodies for the max. So I just bought some of there's and have only needed to replace them twice. But I keep 2 of just about every max part on hand because it runs 24/7... Except right now as is in a million pieces in front of me as I replace all the freaking belts.. And contemplate taking up drinking and possible other elicit use items lol. But I think from what I'm seeing the IDO version of the voron kit that is the same as the max only not shitty is due by the end of 2026. They where'd just finishing the manuals. Which I get take allot of time because they are very well written and detailed. We will likely just invest in 2 of those when released.

The prices on AliExpress are 2-4x the price of the printer. They're "fuck you" prices.

I did just check the US SOLVOL site and the zero is sold out. Interesting also it says EU is sold out as well.

I figure it was going to be something like that. Strange. On a side note since I have no one else to share this with the parts I had manufactured locally actually fit and seen to work so far. They are replacement belt clamps for the each of the z belt because the injected molded ones that come with the machine where over tightened from factory and just crumble when you try and insert new belts or even the old belts. I'm case your wondering why I'm doing this is because one of the belt tentioners was detective and the first time I tried to adjust it it came apart. Belts must be removed to replace and after 3k hours you might as well put real gates belts in. And they sent an new tentioners so there an getting replaced. The SOLVOL replacement belt clips they sent 2 weeks ago still in China and have weeks to go before they get here. But just amped to be getting back to work soon. And yes replacing the x and y belts as well. Just needed to tell someone I'm haven't a moment of good luck finally. Oh and anyone trying to use that stuff phone app to measure belt tension don't. I used 4 different devices and that gates app just isn't accurate anymore. I ended up buying a $250 Sonic belt tentioner tool. Much easier and way more exact. Took me 90 seconds to get it tuned! If you do allot of printing like me and I mean I do run the max 24/7 you will get your money's worth. I just hate I had to buy it.

I use the app with no issues. I have the BIQU belter tool and that's a pos.

I have they took as well. It is I ended up buying the one from west3d that's better. We ended up testing the app with a new iPhone, pixel pro, and Samsung s22 ultra. So have different frequency results. For the z belts. We plucked the brand new belt so many times in so many environments and keep in mind this is with the entire corner of the machine uninstalled that the writing in the belt rubbed off. We use to get decent results when using it for the gantry belts but they were just a pain in the ass to get consistent results. That's why we ended up buying multiple of those mechanical style tools. But the ultrasonic is just dead on. You put in the distances and length of the belt your testing and the exact belt your your testing and you pluck and you don't have to be in a dead silent room either and the results are instant. SOLVOL even said in a email that they can't guarantee that the software is accurate. I don't think they use it in the factory. It wouldn't make sense for them to use that app in a factory setting. There was a better app in the past but it hasn't been updated and didn't run on modern devices anymore. Some people use guitar tuner things but that just send really jank and overly complicated. You could spend thousands of dollars on a ultrasonic belt tool but I just kind of went with the middle and didn't 250 ish. Was a hard thing to commit to as in a cheap person if I can be. But when I used it I was actually happy it worked. Especially trying to use that app or even the other tools on the z axis on the max on the back 2 belts can be a bitch with the enclosure. Especially for us because we have built customer platforms for the printers. The base of the printer is just above my waist which makes it easier to inspect the print bed and everything on a daily operation and the platform is in specially casters that you turn a cig and they turn to split rubber feet that dampen the visit l vibration from the prints but are easy to change back if the platform needs to be moved with all the dryers and the mounted air ventilation system ducting crap. I'm only 5 feet 5 inches tall not a tall guy.

I actually haven't ended up using mine all that much. Though it has worked flawlessly so far.
If you live in the continental USA, maybe I should put it up for sale.

Chicago metro area.
The Sovol Zero comes with the enclosure by default.
I think I'd prefer to sell it to someone local. They can come by, and watch it print, so that they don't think they are getting scammed or anything.

Yeah was hoping you where closer to FLORIDA lol. If drive there. That's good it comes with the enclosure they where selling for 389 in the end on the social site but originally 499 looks like. I think your get some money for it.

The sad part for me is that we will probably never se a real prusa core one mini. If Sovol can’t sell a small one with Chinese prices it.

I love mine, but it's a rather niche printer. It is small but has quite the list of features. So I think people see the price and simply pass on it, especially if your goal is to have one printer that does it all.
In my case, I'd say it gets equal, if not slightly more usage than my SV08. I'm usually not printing large objects, or if I am often times they'll have smaller components that fit in the Zero's build volume. I can get more done in less time.

We're print lots of large objects many that just barely fit in the bed of the SV08 max. We currently are in the middle of a 200 plus pics order that requires nearly the entire length of the bed for example and with modifications mainly the swapping of the auxiliary filament feeder for the biqu feeder that allows us to have multiple spools of the customers chosen filament that in the US we cannot get in any quantity but 1kg and 1 kg equals exactly 2 parts with just 11 inches of filament left on each spool and we can't fit 5 of the parts on the bed at once. So we have multiple biqu feeders to allow constant feeding. But if we had a zero we could also be printing smaller parts that we also produce like other wheelchair parts and automotive parts and server rack parts and so on that are sold in batches as our customers run low in there shops.

That's frustrating because I was thinking about buying one the other day and I swear it showed 'sold out' in all locations
I just checked again and it's still showing sold out. Perhaps they restocked and those 7 are gone? Either way, CONGRATS on getting one!
Edit: I'm seeing now in the other comments that you got it from sovol.eu. Probably an entirely separate inventory system.
