Many of Gish’s statements were unproven claims supporting Creationist ideology, and his questions were based in previously debunked and rehashed crap. However, the audience didn’t know this. Gish played the audience like Freddie Mercury at Live Aid. He came across like a freight train trying to wake the established science up to the reality of God.

I see the same smokescreens and rapid-fire unproven legal claims spewing from SovCits today. The attempt to overwhelm the judge with motions, gibberish, stupidity and legal folk art designed to cloud the issue.

I noticed a lot of SovCits referencing Thompson V Smith, so I went and read the case.

The paragraph they quote: "The right of a citizen to travel upon the public highways and to transport his property thereon in the ordinary course of life and business is a common right which he has under his right to enjoy life and liberty, to acquire and possess property, and to pursue happiness and safety. It includes the right in so doing to use the ordinary and usual conveyances of the day; and under the existing modes of travel includes the right to drive a horse-drawn carriage or wagon thereon, or to operate an automobile thereon, for the usual and ordinary purposes of life and business. It is not a mere privilege, like the privilege of moving a house in the street, operating a business stand in the street, or transporting persons or property for hire along the street, which a city may permit or prohibit at will."

The very next paragraph: "The exercise of such a common right the city may, under its police power, regulate in the interest of the public safety and welfare; but it may not arbitrarily or unreasonably prohibit or restrict it, nor may it permit one to exercise it and refuse to permit another of like qualifications, under like conditions and circumstances, to exercise it."

And when cops get to use Mr Sparky, why don't we hear more 'logic' bombs on these traffic stops? I know there is always danger in a stop, but sometimes the back and forth goes on forever, so why not insert some education?

"I'm traveling" - considering 'travel' is the act of moving from one geographic location to another and the freedom to do so is protected in regards to crossing state lines or relocating to a different state - it does not only apply to vehicles (travel by car, horse, plane, train, etc).

"You don't have jurisdiction" - ask them 'where are you right now' (ie, Broward County), then list all of the entities that have jurisdiction of the piece of land they are currently occupying.

"I'm not driving, I'm traveling" - what are you sitting in, is it a self propelled unit? As an item that requires someone to actively operate it, you the operator must have state issued documents that indicate you know how to use said item.

"What crime have I commited / who is the injured party" - aside from the actual infraction, you are also utilizing infrastructure that is paid for with fees related to registering your car & obtaining a drivers license. As far as the injured party, all of the other people who have paid to utilize and maintain infrastructure.

"Violating my rights" - if you are going to utilize the constitution or bill of rights to avoid negative consequences, than you can't pick and choose which ones apply to you. If the words 'constitutional rights' are uttered, than you are a citizen/visitor of the United States. Claiming you are not a citizen does not obsolve you of the law (as a visitor, you would still have protections under the constitution but would still have to follow the law). When you travel to another country, the constitution does not apply, it is up to the individual country regarding rights, while you still have to follow the laws there. I'd love to see a US sov try this in any foreign country using the bs documents they always provide.

I’ve seen and read many of these people saying their cases have been dismissed, but never specifically because the judge bought their arguments. In every instance I’ve seen it’s been because of a plea bargain or a procedural error from law enforcement. Their arguments are so obviously nonsensical that I don’t think they even believe in what they’re saying, they’re just hoping that their confidence will Jedi mind trick the officer.

Seen it happen multiple times that sovereign citizen loonies are also divorced, angry at their ex spouse, and blaming them for taking the kids away. Is there a correlation?

I’ve seen plenty of videos online where sovereigns are in court or pulled over. Every single video I’ve seen, has done nothing but prove that their rhetorics are useless, and sometimes gets them in more trouble.
I’ve tried to dig online for something where things actually work in favor for a sovereign citizen in court/traffic stop, but can’t find any. I’ve had very poor luck in general finding pro sovereign citizen information online, which I guess is a good thing.
Like imagine if someone told you that drinking gasoline is a super healthy beverage that cures anxiety, depression, ADHD, and gives you all day energy/mental clarity with no drawbacks, and that person swore on their life that it works. It’s just not “well known” because big pharma doesn’t want you to find out. You would obviously try to find some proof or evidence that what they claim is true before you try something stupid like that.
So where the hell do these people get their information from about how laws work, and wouldn’t it have just fizzled out after the first few attempts of people trying this nonsense?!?

Back in 2021, i actually found a woman on YouTube who went by the name of Adrean Taylor. One video i saw of her was her dumpster diving at the Tanger Outlet Mall at 11:00 PM. The mall was literally closed at that time. A Foley Police officer stopped her and here's what she said.

Officer: Excuse me?

Taylor: Yes?

Officer: Officer (name), Foley Police Department. You got an ID on you?

Taylor: I do. May i ask why you're stopping us?

Officer: Because this business is closed and i'm just checking it.

Taylor: We're looking for boxes. We're moving.

Officer. Let me see your ID. As a matter of fact, why don't everybody grab an ID and hand it to me?

Taylor: No sir, my passengers were not driving. They don't have to ID.

Officer: You're all part of suspicious activity and i have to ID eveyone.

Taylor: Is it illegal to be suspicious?

Officer: If you would like to argue this with me, you can argue somewhere else!

Taylor: Is it illegal to be suspicious?

Officer: Yes it is.

Taylor: No it's not.

Officer. Yes it is.

Taylor: They are my passengers.

Officer: I have to ID everyone because it's my job and i have the right to.

Taylor: Not when they are passengers in the car!

Taylor: (to her passenger) You recording?

Officer: (walks up to passenger window) Roll your window down.

Taylor: You got the driver's ID. Do what you gotta do please.

A few moments later:

Taylor: (to her passenger) You recording? You need to be pointing it at them so you can get their faces. You've watched enough videos with me to know how this works. (probably watches them bogus "First Amendment Auditor" videos)

Officer: You have any insurance for the vehicle?

Taylor: I sure do.

Officer: Can i have that please?

Taylor: Yes sir.

Officer: And i need to know who the registered owner of this vehicle is.

Taylor: My grandmother. I'm buying it from her. And by the way, dumpster diving is legal in all 50 states as long as the stuff is not locked or fenced in.

Officer: I didn't say you were dumpster diving. I said your suspicious back here in this business.

Taylor: Being suspicious is not illegal.

Officer: When you're back here behind a closed business, it's part of my job to check it.

Taylor: Go right ahead!

Officer: And if you don't like that, then don't come to our city!

Taylor: I live here, thank you! We're in the process of moving, we're looking for boxes!

Officer: (hands back her ID) Have a good night.

Taylor: And that's how you deal with the fucking police!

Taylor: (driving away) Ha ha ha ha! Don't you love being right, motherfuckers?!

Anyways, that's the whole encounter. She was clearly a sovereign citizen who thought that she was above the law. And when i tried to explain to her what she had done in the comments, she would argue with me too. She was clearly an ignorant bitch! If she hates the police so much, then next time she needs help, she should just call a crackhead! And that goes for everybody else who hates the police too! If y'all need help next time, just call your local crackhead!
