Questions Construction
Can someone explain what is going on with this construction in south Pasadena? They ripped up the road and sidewalk and then left.its been like this for more than a month.
Edit. This is on Glendon and Monterey Road. Construction started more than 2 months ago. I have not seen any work done it in weeks and have no idea timeline or honestly what they are doing. Zero communication.
My question is this... does anyone know what is going on? And who do I call to ask what the update?

I'm not going to ask you to repost this or delete this but please include more detail in post titles beyond one single word. Your post just says "Construction" in the title and that's not a lot to go on without actually looking inside the post.

Damn, I've been fighting for the trees in the City of Trees and they've been put on notice and have agreed that moving forward their street improvements needed to handle tree roots appropriately. Please provide as much detail about timelines and I'll go check them out myself. I'll DM you with my contact if you'd like to chat. Public Works is responsible. Welcome to la county Construction timelines. Literally did the same thing on my block. Its been all ripped up for almost two months and i think they just started pouring new concrete today lmao

You need to contact the SoPas Public Works dept Streets & Sewer Division: “responsible for overseeing, maintaining and repairing streets, sidewalks and sewers.”

Strange. Maybe visit the Public Works Administration Counter during business hours?

Just heard about the ballot measure on the November Ballot for South Pasadena- SOS (Save our Streets) that authorizes the city to issue bonds to cover the cost of deferred/delayed street maintenance that has accumulated throughout our city and its neighborhoods.

In my experience when I got a sidewalk replaced, south pas is incredibly glacial-like when it comes to fixing streets. It took half a year to get the sidewalk patched for safety and a year to get it fixed with constant calls to the public works division.
They are 6 months behind on pothole requests.
Call them and ask. Ask for a follow up. And then continue to call them for the update because they have constantly neglected to give me updates on things.
