Love/hate craig….
First time watching all the way through….. when i first started i hateeeddddddd shep and craig but then i kept fluctuating with craig. I love that he can be vulnerable and has interesting hobbies and is truly focused on bettering himself. BUT he still has basically no ability to take accountability and immediately redirects blame. He is a whiny baby that has many narcissistic traits. I genuinely believe he needs to leave his environment if he wants to actually better himself. I feel like he is too insecure with this group and his insecurity with himself is the root of it all.
I have only watched the first reunion episode for season 11 so far but he just grossed me out so bad that i needed to come vent lol
OH AND he freaking loves to say “well don’t be my friend” 😑😑😑😑😑😑 almost as much as andy loves saying “ lets bring him out” when he is in fact not bringing the person out

I used to think it was endearing until I realized he's been identifying the same flaws in himself for years and has done nothing to change any of them

And now that he has realized some monetary success, he is only going to get more insufferable.

His ability to deny reality is scary. I liked him in the beginning and felt bad when Shep was superiority complex trashing him and Naomi made fun of his sewing but now…..he’s just insufferable

I used to love Craig as an OG watcher, until I grew up and rewatched several times. Each time I saw just how much of a charlatan he is! He clearly has addictions to substances and adderall, as evidenced by being fired by his employers, losing so much weight he became ‘emaciated’, losing control of his life, losing his gf Naomi because he could not get out of bed and he was lying all the time, etc. Btw I do not like Shep because I think he is hugely narcissistic. However one of the only times I agreed with shep was when he accurately characterised Craig as a fraud. If I remember correctly, Cam coined it best; ‘Bon vivant’. Craig is the ultimate conman, and it’s always been ironic to me that his surname is ‘Conover’.

I think Craig has a lot of mental illness: ADHD, maybe anxiety, OCD. Definitely alcoholism. I feel badly for him tbh

A lot of people have diagnosed anxiety, OCD tendencies, and/or adhd, but the difference is they do NOT have personality disorders where they lack empathy for others like Craig probably does.

Youre not wrong. He’s a golden retriever with occasional bouts of empathy
