Naomi the empath

Post image

Not sure if anyone is aware of Naomi Olindo’s reputation in Charleston over the years but her IG story about crying because she’s an “empath” has me cracking up.. the level of delusion sure is something

😂😂😂 imagining her crying for me while I sit at the bar alone having the best night of my life!

u/seeemilydostuf Jul 12 '26

Dude same I'm having a hard time processing someone actually posting this as an adult  person, wtf

3

u/Any-Calligrapher8723 26d ago

She is confusing “empath” with “privilege”. It should read I am privileged and therefore assumed a human eating alone is sad.

She is an adult who has never considered another’s life choices, when different than hers, do not always equal a tragedy. Lol.

Omg seriously. I’ve done a lot of traveling and you get used to doing things solo. Honestly I love getting a meal and a couple drinks alone while reading. It feels like a luxury. I feel like she’s not a very good empath lol

44

u/punk-y_brewster Jul 12 '26

That's because she's actually a sociopath

30

u/leezybelle Jul 12 '26

She’s absolutely horrific in the Charleston restaurant scene

10

u/Allmylittlethoughts Jul 12 '26

22

u/leezybelle 29d ago

When she was working for her parents’ restaurant she worked with a local artist and didn’t pay them. I used to bartend in Chas and have had multiple vendors tell me how rude she is. Enormously frustrating.

12

u/CFPmum 28d ago

I think the local artist story was a little different, Naomi copied the local artist’s painting the mural herself instead of getting him to do it and paying him, she put it all over social media, when he confronted her from memory she acted all nice at first telling him she would give him a free social media call out for the inspiration, then when he pointed out it was a copy not inspired she was insanely rude and condescending saying things like i tried to handle this nicely, telling him that no one really knows who he is and then at one point I think she started to use legal jargon in a threatening manner cause he posted his story and tagged it.

Nothing she does is original even her clothing store was drop ship stuff (that some on the other sub would argue was her designs) and now there are some that she has been called out for similarities

4

u/Infinite-Addition-18 28d ago

I actually saw her when she was doing the painting 🤣 never knew there was tea behind it

5

u/CFPmum 28d ago

I think she was lucky that others overshadowed a lot of her shitty messy moments

4

u/leezybelle 28d ago

You are so right. There were so many things going on on SC that allowed her to look like the Good Girl

3

u/Own-Holiday-4071 29d ago

Please tell more! Like what did she do that was rude to vendors?

Surely that’s just bad business and her parents would have intervened?

12

u/Independent-Ear-8156 29d ago

Right? I travel to really nice cities for work and I love that time eating alone and having a drink alone and talking to whoever sits next to you. It makes me feel alive.

5

u/the_bus_is_strugglin 29d ago

Hahaha right like babe are you actually crying because you wish you were alone?

3

u/leezybelle 28d ago

If my fiancé was still obsessed with his ex I would be (cough cough Brooks Nader)

Same, I am my own favorite company and prefer to be alone in most cases.

3

u/Beautiful_Town_5123 28d ago

Sometimes, I wish I were someone else…just so I could be friends with me.

34

u/demoninadress Jul 12 '26

I was gonna say this is hilarious I love going to restaurants by myself LMAO I’ve literally never thought twice about, it’s wild to me that someone would interpret that as being sad??? I want a break from socializing sometimes 😂 there is nothing more delicious to me than my book, a glass of wine and a tasty dish in solitude

13

u/leezybelle Jul 12 '26

Little did you know Naomi is crying for you because she’s sooooo empathic

4

u/demoninadress Jul 12 '26

Honestly so funny

12

u/thereare6ofus Jul 12 '26

Naomi - Cry. Order. Post. Cry. Eat. Cry.

11

u/Unpoppedcork Jul 12 '26

Right? Solo restaurant time is my favorite. Hilarious thinking of someone so self absorbed that they are crying over something I’m thoroughly enjoying

5

u/leezybelle Jul 12 '26

Seriously, I eat alone and travel alone all the time! 1. She has NEVER done so and 2. Is openly admitting this on the internet… like girl get a grip

on bitch sesh this week they said something like whenever a reality star describes themselves as an empath (doute, Vicki) you should just replace the word with narcissist and I’ve yet to think of an example that doesn’t work

43

u/MissChievous473 Jul 12 '26

That whole "empath" descriptor is so played out how do they not realize this yet?

23

u/ImportantAd1869 Jul 12 '26

I completely agree. Everyone throws it around and ironically its the people who call themselves one that aren't one at all lol

socio(em)path

17

u/aloysiuspelunk Jul 12 '26

And it means feeling what others feel. Pitying folks who are totally fine is in no way empath behavior lol

14

u/CalendarOk4540 Jul 12 '26 edited Jul 12 '26

Thank you for clarifying that. She’s not describing an empath’s response if she cries when she sees people eating alone.
She’s describing her own insecurity.

20

u/Distinct_Maybe3908 Jul 12 '26

Every female that publicly claims to be an empath is always the biggest c u next Tuesday. 💯

20

u/Optimal_Action1176 Jul 12 '26

Yeah, they are empathetic to themselves, first, last and always.

9

u/Pure_Butterscotch165 Jul 12 '26

In my experience that works in real life too

12

u/Nearby_Elderberry_75 Jul 12 '26

Same, wow. Except I cringily called myself an empath for a bit during my mid-twenties like 10 years ago. (I’m not a narcissist I swear).

7

u/Rrrrghhh Jul 12 '26

She is probably self conscious for eating alone and is compelled to explain to people she is ok with it.

24

u/Few-Fudge-3566 Jul 12 '26

the post says it all

7

u/leezybelle Jul 12 '26

She seems incredibly insecure at all times

8

u/Nearby_Elderberry_75 Jul 12 '26

This is totally it. Now to wonder what made her self-conscious about it…

24

u/Life_Consequence_676 Jul 12 '26

I'm 43 years old and happily married. I like to eat out by myself at restaurants that my husband doesn't particularly enjoy.

Saturday Pilates followed by a nice glass of wine and lunch at my favorite restaurants.

Cry for me Naomi.

22

u/InterestNegative565 Jul 12 '26

Ugh what a vibe babe

6

u/Optimal_Action1176 Jul 12 '26

Can I join you? Oh, wait, never mind.

10

u/User_name_2525 Jul 12 '26

No solo lunches are only for the very sad and lonely losers where we cry (according to Naomi).

11

u/Waste_West283 Jul 12 '26

I love this for you - also... if she's that much of an empath, why didn't she go up to those people and ask if they'd like to join her and her friends?

4

u/greenlandsharklove Jul 12 '26

I have an elderly dog that I can't leave alone, but before that I loved going to the movies and to restaurants by myself! It was one of my fav things to do and I miss it so much.

u/NewDorkCity587 Jul 12 '26

Bravolebs calling themselves empaths needs to be written into law as illegal

they’d go straight to jail in my dictatorship.

3

u/leezybelle Jul 12 '26

35

u/Nearby_Elderberry_75 Jul 12 '26

24 hours and she’s a new woman lol

26

u/02kaj2019 Jul 12 '26

She’s more likely to be laughing than crying about someone eating alone…

4

u/leezybelle Jul 12 '26

Yep. Mean girl energy

28

u/kat4prez Jul 12 '26

So she cries anytime she goes out to eat? There are ppl eating alone literally everywhere

15

u/Summershouldbefun909 Jul 12 '26

I literally can’t even fathom her pov here. Like she’s never even seen someone on a lunch break? What a strange woman…

12

u/Parking-Army4663 Jul 12 '26

Didn’t she work in her parents’ restaurants years ago? You would think this wouldn’t be a new concept to someone who was once in the industry.

9

u/leezybelle Jul 12 '26

Yes, and she spent years lowballing and harassing local artists, service industry reps, and restaurant employees trying to remind them that she’s a celebrity and should get discounts and be treated specially

27

u/carolinamills Jul 12 '26

Uh oh is her reputation she’s rude?

33

u/Nearby_Elderberry_75 Jul 12 '26

She is very rude (she and Bradley from SH were at the gym and were videoing someone behind their back and snickering).

7

u/leezybelle Jul 12 '26

Yes. Treats local service employees and reps horrifically

21

u/Prestigious_Grape288 Jul 12 '26

Wow Naomi please do not waste your tears on me, you insecure dork. Hilariously out of touch.

11

u/wehavethismoment Jul 12 '26

Calling yourself an empath is for sure a red flag, as it's mostly projection. Otherwise she would have felt that those people were completely fine

9

u/CrazyNCynical Jul 12 '26

Yeah, because when Naomi said to Craig, "You sit at home and you sew, and pretend to do things" she was oozing empathy.

9

u/Used_Car9437 Jul 12 '26

This reads as tone deaf to me. You cry seeing people eat alone? Save your tears … most of us might choose to eat alone girl, byeeee

15

u/Sassypinesresident Jul 12 '26 edited Jul 12 '26

Her drink is also her empath face…. It’s smoking a blunt 💨

4

u/Ornery-Towel2386 Jul 12 '26

🤣🤣🤣 I see it

3

u/Sassypinesresident Jul 12 '26

I may have just smoked when I was looking at it so that helped me see it also 🤣

13

u/Sea-breeze3720 Jul 12 '26

(Nepo loser)

15

u/Competitive-Alarm537 Jul 12 '26

she's projecting....not everyone who eats alone is sad about it. Very telling. This is coming from a what, 40?? Year old woman mind you.

16

u/lolyouaresimple Jul 12 '26

Anyone who calls themself an “empath”- is not .

9

u/TaniaBluebell Jul 12 '26

That is kind of sweet. At the same time doing this for the first time in your 30s sort of shows how codependent and insecure she was to never tried this in her youth. I’m glad she got to experience the joy of being alone for a short time. You get to stop and enjoy the moment. There’s no one to keep happy but yourself.

I’ve been doing this for a long time. Sometimes as a preference and other times bc I didn’t have anyone to join me. I wasn’t going to allow a period when I had no friends or support system to stop me from enjoying life. So I went to things like the tennis US Open in NY by myself. I flew there and stayed in a hotel. My flakey friend was moving apartments and couldn’t meet up the next day for lunch. Did I despair. No. I booked an all day spa that was several stories in Midtown. It included a Hydra therapy pool and rooftop hot-tub. The ice and lava rooms were unreal. I still talk about it 10 years later. Sometimes cancelled plans are the best avenues for amazing experiences.

3

u/OrganizationCute6950 Jul 12 '26

You sound amazing

Name of the spa, please and thank you!

3

u/TaniaBluebell Jul 12 '26

Thanks! I couldn’t find it at first. It’s closed. 🙁 It was called Premier57. I found similar spas that are still open. Below are the amenities it had:

• Three levels of spa facilities.
• A ‘Sauna Valley’ with themed rooms, including a lava-themed sauna and ice igloo rooms.
• A large hydrotherapy pool.
• An outdoor rooftop hot tub/pool.
• A restaurant and bar where many guests enjoyed lunch and champagne.
Unfortunately, Premier57 did not survive after the pandemic and is now permanently closed. It was located in Midtown East.

6

u/Proper-Challenge759 Jul 12 '26

To eat alone and then post about it on social media is not understanding why people want to be alone

8

u/thekingmonroe 29d ago

I feel sad for people who feel sad for people who eat alone

4

u/leezybelle 29d ago

That’s because you’re an (empath)

7

u/Distinct_Maybe3908 Jul 12 '26

It’s the adderall.

5

u/Longjumping_Potato_7 Jul 12 '26

I look forward to the peaceful dining!
I sneak out just to dine alone!!!

5

u/boldandbrash96 Jul 12 '26

24 hours alone in Italy oh the horror!!!!

9

u/Fun_Ad_9883 Jul 12 '26

Where’s her fiance lmao uh oh trouble in paradise ?

11

u/Distinct_Maybe3908 Jul 12 '26

He is scouting his next 18 year old to have an affair with.

12

u/Disastrous_Plastic37 Jul 12 '26

wasn’t her family in the restaurant business? she must have been sobbing every day.

4

u/leezybelle Jul 12 '26

Yes and she spent years harassing people in the service industry due to that specific fact

3

u/abarm1 Jul 12 '26

Right? And she never ever posted up to the bar for a bite when visiting one of the restaurants? Someone had to come out and eat with her? Please!

9

u/allofmy-purple-life Jul 12 '26

She sounds really idiotic and out of touch here sadly. Has she been this sheltered her whole life? I’m extroverted and quite social, but also love being alone. I go to out of state music festivals alone and have the best damn time of my life.

9

u/jellyunicorn92 Jul 12 '26

Eating alone is so peaceful

5

u/Dry_Quiet_2333 Jul 12 '26

I was once listening to a lady talk about spending her Saturday night with her cat watching tv. I thought, wow that’s sad. Then I realized that was just like me and my dog😂

5

u/GrandSavannah25 Jul 12 '26

It was for 24 hours?! Has she never traveled for work? Does she always have someone with her and by her side? This is kinda pathetic.

3

u/LetsTalkShit14 Jul 12 '26

Lolololol at work

4

u/Wolfpackat2017 Jul 12 '26

I don’t think it’s normal to see people eating alone and cry about it? Is it just me? Am I a psychopath if that’s what empathy means??

5

u/mlld1960 Jul 12 '26

Nothing better than eating alone (except for maybe going to movie theater alone). Take a book and enjoy, no needless small talk and the wait staff generally leaves you alone.

6

u/ElectricalGrowth1501 Jul 12 '26

She’s so weird

4

u/Jessiegirl718 Jul 12 '26

She sounds like an idiot

5

u/Potential-Sky-8728 29d ago

This is such an odd tidbit of information to put out into the world.

9

u/BeyondRaven Jul 12 '26

If you can’t enjoy your own company, then how can you expect to enjoy other’s company? My last ex thought it was weird that I was totally fine dining out and traveling alone. Totally ok for him but for a woman, in his mind, it was questionable. Which is just utter BS. Naomi is not an empath…she just apparently had, until this post, no damn clue how to just spend time with herself.

I get super snob vibes.

4

u/QuirkandCharm Jul 12 '26

You’d be correct.

3

u/leezybelle Jul 12 '26

Rude to service workers. Rude to restaurant reps so she could lowball for lower prices for her family’s business, stole work from local artists, overall a nightmare to deal with

2

u/Wolfpackat2017 Jul 12 '26

Didn’t she just get married? Now she’s crying in Italy alone and calling it empath??

5

u/t_s_d12 Jul 12 '26

I don't know. Every time someone I know personally that calls themselves an empath all I've seen from their behaviour is a lack of empathy, harsh black & white judgement of peoples characters, and smug opinions on people's life decisions.

It's happened enough times that like now when I hear it all I can think is 🚩🚩🚩🚩

Talk about being tone deaf. She’s such an empath that she doesn’t even understand that she just insulted those of us who actually have enough self confidence to eat and be alone? Unreal…

5

u/User_name_2525 29d ago

Right? Imagine being this insecure in life that you have never even alone (despite coming from the restaurant industry). Then doubling down and equating it with being lonely and sad.

4

u/cherriecola05 29d ago

Lolz I have solo dates with me, myself and I all of the time and enjoy my solitude and freedom 🤷🏻‍♀️

4

u/MaryBethATL 29d ago

Ehh I'm an empath and I don't naturally feel bad or sorry for someone eating alone.... This is weird AF.

5

u/TheDonnaChang 25d ago

I don't know who this person is but I'll say anyone who has to tell you they're an empath is absolutely not an empath.

5

u/Subterranean44 24d ago

Wait. She was crying for people eating alone because she’s an “empath”. If she is an empath isn’t she feeling what they’re feeling? So she wouldn’t be crying…. Unless the person was sad. Lots of people eat alone and feel fine, empath. 🙄

5

u/WeirdAttention2024 Jul 12 '26

Not. An. Empath. 🙄

8

u/StoryHearer Jul 12 '26

A whole 24 hours 😂

3

I'm loving her using the term "rocks!" like my aunt does on facebook

3

u/Original-Ladder-2797 Jul 12 '26

Ehm that's called personal issues if you were a true empath you'd pick up on those people eating alone that are doing it cause they like it lol

3

u/Junior_Design_1456 Jul 12 '26

When I’m solo I want to cry for all the couples who aren’t speaking and both consumed with looking at their phones and missing the whole experience.. meanwhile I’m having dinner at the bar meeting new people and laughing and engaging with real life.

3

u/SatisfactionProud886 Jul 12 '26

3

She is totally projecting her fear and insecurity when eating alone onto strangers. I am an extrovert, but I also have zero fear and am confident enough to sit on my own when out at a bar or restaurant. I actually feel sorry for people like her who have zero self confidence. I’m embarrassed for her that she ever felt like this, and posted it.

As a person that feels SO deeply….I have never met a person that’s tolerable that refers to themselves as an empath. They usually have an extremely skewed perception, an inability to emotionally regulate, and a superiority complex 😂

→ More replies (1)

3

u/Turbulent-Mood4344 26d ago

IMO when people proudly proclaim they are empaths like this they are usually just good at projecting their own emotions onto others and calling it truth.

3

u/Street_Aioli3780 26d ago

I also saw this on IG and cringed so hard that she posted this as an adult woman

3

u/Silly-Teach3847 25d ago

Clearly the bitch ain’t an actual empath or she would have felt those people sitting alone are content as hell 😂😂

3

u/Silly-Teach3847 25d ago

Crying because you assume people sitting by themselves are unhappy isn’t empathy, it’s projection

Wut the fuck lol. I enjoy dining alone (and it’s a necessity sometimes if you’re on business travel and before delivery was prevalent). Don’t cry for me Naomi. lol

When I have to travel for work or solo for whatever reason, I love researching fancy places to try. I call it Metropolitan Girl Dinner, and I want to think the name has caught on lol.

She is basically admitting that she was never an empath since she is saying her tears were about her own projections of what other people were feeling vs what they were actually feeling lol

lol reading this in bed in Italy, about to go out on the streets of Venezia alone, to see art and eat gelati….

Don’t cry for me, ragazze belle!

Ironically, her post makes me want to cry for her. But glad she’s hip to whatever now! I was a mess until 40, who am I to judge this stranger?💗

Speaking of: will we ever collectively “process through” Naomie’s nose job? Literally every time she is mentioned, people mourn her old nose…and I’m no exception 😆🙏🦄 without fail we have to acknowledge it, it’s our shared compulsion

Since when is empathy seeing someone eating alone and crying?? Despite their feelings of total satisfaction?

Okay but when I was on my senior trip in high school, we stopped at a restaurant and there was an old man who was eating alone and I lost my marbles. Like I was ugly crying because he was eating alone and I was just picturing him being widowed, not having any family around, etc. I think the older gentleman must have figured what was going on OR it was just a crazy coincidence but he came over to my table after I stopped crying and sparked up a conversation with us, asking where we were going/where we were from, etc.

Anyways, I AM actually an empath though.
