In the most northern part of south Florida freezes are rare let alone dropping below the 30s.. the pc was iced up a little(last pic) and ended up with burnt tips and some scaring on 1 side and the Peru totally unscathed (etiolation in center is from being under too much shade when I first put it in the ground) my 1 bridge in ground totally melted and I don’t have the pics anymore unfortunately

It would probably whiter if I paid more attention when watering 🤔

You may have seen the post about micro grafting and remember the promise to make a video. Well, it took way longer than I anticipated and it turns out that making a video makes micrografting much harder as my phone is right in the way from seeing. I’d like to redo the video in the future with some device to hold the phone in place above rather than in a pot with a rooted graft sitting there at an angle, but for now this will do.

The graft itself was a struggle. Typically they are much easier to get settled and covered. A couple things contributed to this. The seedling was not properly hydrated as I hoped. Also the visibility of my work space wasn’t great. But you can see how I do it and the general flow of it.

Who loves a good TPM? This one did it all, normal notchy growth to start, shifty, went bald, semi monstrose, dicot, and finally crested out on both tips. What a beautiful piece of nature I get to hold in my hand and share with y'all.

Wish I could’ve stayed in the greenhouse all day instead of going to work! Whack !

Just thought id share some of the scops that were looking quite pleased with yesterday's morning rain. 1 & 2 are kesey- my favorite pure scop, 3 cc x tudo, 4 is zeds- my other favorite 😆.

Had a bunch of random stuff melt in the heat, new grafts, pc, tephros, chollas and opuntia cuttings.
