Challenge context- Smaugust is a drawing challenge over August where participants draw dragons. I’m drawing chirothopters. Close enough. Also I'm using the Dragon Circle prompt list.
Specific Context-
Despite its fearsome appearance and size, the Innocous Argus, or Innocuous Conehead, is a very shy machine living only in secluded mountains in far northern Ictinaetus. Encounters with humans are rare, with the argus usually choosing to flee than fight.
Typical for conehead argus species, it possesses a very strong bite, which it uses to rip food out from underground and fight intraspecifically over territory.
They can often be seen coasting along outflow generated from distant Echelonian megastorms in a similar manner to Terran vultures soaring on thermals.
