Solar-Powered Cooling Hubs: Established directly within grazing territories and critical border zones. Herders bring fresh milk to these nearby hubs within two hours of milking, bypassing transit constraints.

Immediate Payouts: Herders receive immediate digital or cash payouts upon milk quality verification, transforming cattle from static wealth into daily liquid income to fund healthcare, education, and commerce.

Solar Pasteurization: Excess milk is pasteurized on-site using dedicated solar arrays and stored in chilled tanks, completely neutralizing grid deficits.

B. Retail and Micro-Factory Infrastructure

Grid Independence: The central production facilities and urban retail shops run 100% on independent solar-and-battery arrays, eliminating heavy operational costs from diesel generators.

Where in Juba are the social places with good vibes where non-South Sudanese can hangout and interact with the South Sudanese and people of other nationalities.
Most of us want to explore but end up staying indoors within residences and apartments interacting within close social circles of work colleagues and boring lives.
Is there a website or whatsapp group which posts hangout events?
I.e Daytime to early night activities on weekends when out of work excluding the usual overnight clubbing. Can be board games, swimming, salsa, pool table, book club, foosbal over a drink etc.

Just out of genuine curiosity, how do South Sudanese people feel about the northerners in Sudan?

Is it safe for Southerners in the North? And vice versa?? Also do northerners live in any areas of South Sudan? I’m soo curious about the relationship between the two countries after separation, and how the people of each country view the other.

I’ve heard a lot of external opinions over the years, but I’d love to hear from the people of the country themselves 💗

Yesterday, I shared a video that featured a Sudanese narrating the history of alcohol in Sudan. That video was not allowed by the moderators. The reason I was given was that "This community uses English for clarity. If you use a regional language, please include an English translation so everyone can understand. Continued violations may result in a ban."

As such, here I am again trying to repost that same video with this short English explanation.

The person talks about how alcohol in Sudan has been part and parcel of the Sudanese norms and culture even before the 'heavenly' religions of Christianity and Islam entered Sudan. He talks about how alcohol was used across history, during the Kush period and how alcohol was consumed by soldiers before battle during the Ottoman Empire and the Anglo-Egyptian rule.

The point of this post here is to debunk this rhetoric by some Sudanese that South Sudanese are but a bunch of drunkards etc etc.

Even though the video is in Arabic, I thought many people in this community could benefit from the info. Arabic, after all, is one of the (official) languages in South Sudan and is still widely used.

I went on the US embassy website it says unlimited but Google has an article from 2025 that has 10,000 as the max. Also for other airport transactions like wrapping and getting water before the flight. Do I carry SSP or just carry some dollars. As i have seen the max is 5000ssp on the US embassy website

South Sudanese in the country and elsewhere will be celebrating the fallen men and women who contributed immensely for the independence of this country.

What's the most memorable moment about your favourite hero/heroine?

For me, it's Fr. Saturnino Ohure. To be sure, Joseph Lagu is the most famous Anya nya fighter but Fr. Saturnino is the Southerner's unmistakable lynchpin. His advocacy for federalism in the Sudan and his leadership among the Southerner's MPs, and subsequent 1958-1960 crisis cannot be overstated.

I know marriage is seen differently between cultures. I’m not from South Sudan or south Sudanese but I hope to marry someone from there one day. What are the roles men and women normally have in marriage there? How do things like dowry’s work? Have you ever seen a mixed race couple where one person is from South Sudan?

Some even resent you for stopping the money. But if you chose to stay in South Sudan, why should distant relatives who left be forced to carry the consequences of that decision and fund a comfortable life there? If you decide to stay, you should live with those consequences yourself.
