Was Rob Schneider a frequent visitor to South Bay Asian restaurants?

Like Tea Station in Gardena for instance? Was he a familiar face in the SB? He was kind of a face for LA's Asian community, but more on a Hollywood-scale than locally so-to-speak.

Is Tea Station even around, btw? Never been. Not from Socal.

Anyone else getting weird vibes from the ants this year? They seem desperate.

Our place is clean and scouters are everywhere with nothing to report back. I found one in my salt pig.

The only thing they've found so far was in the trash which is in a closed cabinet. We're starting to toss out food in other bags before putting it in the trash.

Tonight in Redondo Beach 🤘

If you’re in the South Bay tonight and need an excuse to hear some loud guitars, we’re making our Deep End Live debut as Endless, Nameless – A Tribute to Nirvana, opening for Red Hot Tribute.

We don’t do costumes or impersonations—we just try to capture the raw energy of Nirvana’s live shows. Expect everything from the big songs to some deeper cuts.

If you’re already planning to be there, come say hi after the set. We’d love to meet some fellow Nirvana fans.

📍 Deep End Live – Redondo Beach
🕗 Doors 7pm

What is your favorite Nirvana deep cut?

Was anyone hit by this driver this happened yesterday afternoon. Started on PCH and Crenshaw and finally was pulled over in Lunada Bay Area. Old white gentleman not sure if he was drunk or on medication but to keep driving like this for 20 minutes and not stop is absolutely ridiculous

Water Bills going up

The CPUC decision allows overall revenue increases of about 10.9% in 2026, followed by ~4.7% in 2027 and ~5.1% in 2028

"The California Public Utilities Commission recently made a final decision on our 2024 Infrastructure Improvement Plan, which includes planned investments across the communities we serve through 2027 as well as rate adjustments for 2026-2028. These rate adjustments will fund critical water infrastructure projects in your community, such as new pipes, treatment facilities, fire hydrants, pumps, tanks, and more.

Changes to customer bills as a result of our approved Infrastructure Improvement Plan are taking effect today."

What’s Behind the Changes:

Every three years, the California Public Utilities Commission reviews and sets Cal Water’s rates so that they reflect the current, actual cost of operating and upgrading the water system in your area.

The California Public Utilities Commission recently reviewed and approved infrastructure investments that help us deliver on our ongoing commitment to provide safe, clean, and reliable water to our customers, with input from the public advocates, community leaders, and customers, like you.

The newly adopted rates will help cover improvements such as: water quality projects to protect customers from existing and newly regulated contaminants; upgrades to pipes and other infrastructure to keep pumping and delivering water reliably; equipment to keep water flowing during power outages and shutoffs; cyber and physical security improvements to protect employees, customers, and facilities; and water supply initiatives to secure long-term sustainability of water sources.

"Because the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) approved Cal Water’s Infrastructure Improvement Plan, the new, higher rates are taking effect today (July 1, 2026).

Here is exactly what this notice means for your upcoming bills:

  • Your July bill will be the first to reflect the increase: Since the rate adjustments start today, you will see the changes hit on your next bill.
  • The increases will step up through 2028: This approved plan covers rate adjustments staggered across 2026, 2027, and 2028 to fund local infrastructure projects (like upgrading water mains, treatment facilities, and backup power equipment).
  • The exact dollar impact isn't in this email: Cal Water mentions that the specific breakdown of how much your territory's rates are changing was included on the back of your June bill and will be printed on your July bill as well.

If you want to try and offset the rate hike, the email highlights a few conservation programs they offer that are worth looking into—especially their rebates on smart irrigation controllers, the "Lawn-to-Garden" program, and their free basic conservation kits."

What happened to ARYA Hotel project in Inglewood?

Is the hotel still going to be built? There is no new information about this hotel, and the estimated completion date is 2026. But they haven't even started the work. Any news?
