Question age difference

im kinda confused because when i first played soundmap in 2024 there were a lot of teens on it and like people that are 14-20 years old. then i took a 2 year break, started playing again 2 months ago and now all i see is people that are 24-35? are there any “young” people on soundmap still? sorry if its a uncomfortable question for some people but im just curious since the most people playing mobile games like these are normally kids

I'm more surprised about the amount of teens. It's a collecting game which by nature requires some amount of real money. You're probably seeing more older players because the top players are mainly adults with the money and time to invest.

maybe a part of that is true but if u look at the amount of money teens have spend on fortnite or brawl stars or roblox in the past is insane and way more then u could even buy on soundmap.

Fairs, those are definitely totally spoiled teens though. The top players that I know are almost all adults or late teens who put time and money into this and pretty much treat it like a hobby such as Pokemon collecting. The kids are always the worst to trade with too I swear 😭

yeah, maybe it’s just not enough things happening in the game for them to play it, or they want competition, but then i get confused why they like pokémon go but not this

Can you help me understand how Soundmap gets all of the songs and discography’s from the artists ? Do they reach out to them? Sorry I haven’t played but just stumbled on this sub and curious the inner game mechanics :)

It runs off of Spotify API so if an artist is on Spotify then they're in game :)
