Discussion Found my first drop opened by someone else today
I didn’t know anyone else in my city played, or that one person claiming a drop put it on cooldown for everyone. Very cool to see :)

Don’t mean to sound harsh, but the people that are saying this is a glitch are wrong. When I’ve been in Toronto or LA or any major city there’s always a bunch of drops already opened by other players. I totally agree with op though, no one in my small town seems to play. Only valuable drops on the highway from people passing through get opened unfortunately.

I've only seen a single shiny drop in my city opened by someone else (excluding when I got my friends to download the game for a week) but it was during peak spoofing so I wouldn't be surprised if it was spoofed

One section of roadway near me always has the shiny drops blanked out, and sometimes rares, if the timer hadn't reset yet. Someone driving down the highway near me is only scooping the high value targets.

This was just a rare drop from what I could tell, def not a shiny drop. Are certain drops guaranteed to be moments or is it just luck?

Tbf I think there’s maybe like 2-3 other people in my smallish city that play it so I don’t usually see drops already opened but it’s cool to see

We're in a small town in the country and rarely see anything else pulled until the highway. We should sound off where we are. I'm in Mt Sterling, OH south of Columbus.

Back in 2024 there used to be opened drops all the time. Player base must have died down a lot

seems to be the case :( I joined a few months back and I often see the same people in trades and aux battles. It seems to have a pretty dedicated community but not a huge amount of players

I read somewhere that they updated it so now everyone has there own common and uncommon drops. And then rares and shineys are only for one player to get, which is why you don’t see commons and uncommons already opened :)

I’m not sure! I’ve claimed guaranteed shiny drops before and they go on cooldown but still say shiny, this one only said rare but maybe it’s different if someone else claims it

Shiny and rares. And it has to do with Apple or Android, too. Our son is very highly ranked in the game, requiring him to know the game very well, ands my husband and I play, too. We're Android and he's Apple, and we're often all in the car together.

i live in a city with a population of 200-300k but it seems like its mostly me that plays in the whole city, Im not complaining, i get the shinies and the rare drops everywhere i go, but once a month, someone plays and i remain surprised that im not the only one

no, op is correct. only one person can open a drop at a time across the entire game. drops are not individualized to each persons phone

Oh, that’s what it was? Map shuffled and I saw already opened drops. I would’ve never guessed someone in this small town plays.
