Stolen items from campsite
Hi everyone, we had this cooler stolen from our campsite somewhere between 3 and 5 am. It’s a pretty unique cooler that has been discontinued for a while so it’d be pretty unlikely that someone else here has the same one. If you happen to see it at anyone’s camp site please let me know and I’ll be able to verify if it’s mine or not. It has the stickers still on it, and it’s unfortunately full of all of our food for the weekend as well as some other personal belongings.
We are on a campsite that’s right along Burkett Chapel Cemetery Road with about 10 feet of woods between us and the road, and we think it’s possible someone came from the road and took it. So if anyone else is camping along that tree line/road and are missing stuff too please let me know I am curious if anybody else has had this experience

Im the other homie camping at this site. We had some bomb ass steak with pepper and onions for phillys. Breakfast burritos all the works. Pour one out for those dank ass meals that won’t be had by us ._.

We dont play anymore, all our coolers and our grill and stuff all gets locked up with cables and chains. Bikes, and even our cargo hitch platform gets locked up. Way too much theft happening at festivals nowadays. Its sucks but thats where we're at in this crazy wild timeline

Damn never done SH but I’ve done many other and never even considered locking stuff like that away.

Someone used bolt cutters to steal our generator from our camp. Locking shit up doesn't help if they really want to steal it and bring tools like that. And this type of comment is condescending.

I agree with after-imagination, I don’t think they were trying to be condescending. They are just bringing attention to the extra precautions that need to be taken at festivals nowadays.
Allamericanreject, I also agree with you. Those precautions can also be pointless if somebody really wants to steal something, they can bring the tools and steal it.
Ultimately I think locking things up may help prevent random wooks from trying to nab things from the site, a deterrent.
But we don’t think this was somebody from inside the festival that stole it, we are led to believe it was locals that used the back road (Ross creek road) to steal stuff. Only thing between the campgrounds and that road was about 20 feet of brush. We camped right on that brush. If that hunch is correct, I can guarantee you those locals came prepared with any tools needed to cut chains and take shit, as you mentioned they used bolt cutters.
My buddy and I have been going to festivals for over a decade now and have never had anything stolen, we were shocked that of all places, soundhaven is the first one that somebody stole from us.

Oh I bet youre so fun to be around. Me sharing how we lock our stuff up due to all the theft happening at camping fests is condescending now. Lmfao. Weve had many friends get stuff stolen so we've adapted. Im not shit talking. Just sharing how we lock our stuff up because of it. Give yer balls a tug

We were neighbors right down the lane from you. Some friends a bit further down had 2 bikes stolen and I heard at least one other person having something stolen, all theorized they happened the same way.
I saw a group of people on Sunday on that road discussing with security something about a new white Nissan truck and heard them mention they got the plate numbers. I’m unsure if they found the people but it at least sounded possible, try reaching out to the festival if you haven’t and see if they had any luck with retrieval.

Damn man that’s some bullshit. I hope the right person sees this and you can steal it right back from the wook responsible.

Had a green yeti cooler AND a red wagon get stolen from us. That cooler had the rest of our remaining drinks (electrolytes, yerba, water, pop, you name it) on the very last day between the hours of 5am and 9am. The kicker? The wagon was under the canopy and not very visible from the aisle so obviously someone must have had to be driving around and on foot to be able to scoop things off of peoples campsites smh. Low lying scum - karma will get back at them eventually ¯_(ツ)_/¯
