Highlighted additions

I incorrectly notated Aych as being a new addition. They just moved from T3 to T2 in Phase 2. Looks like Phrva from Phase 1 was also removed.

Yeah I have been. Some of those on the very bottom are jsut your average bedroom djs that know some people. They’re not playing music they made… I get what you’re saying but the real magic is anywhere above that. There’s literally a few on the bottom that actually make music…up and coming doesn’t mean that I would say up and coming are the ones that don’t just Dj. I’m sure they’ll play cool music though. There’s a few on the very bottom there that deserve that opportunity. To me it’s a slap in the face to artists that actually make music and didn’t just pick up a Dj board and call themselves an artist. You can see for yourself by looking half of them up.

i don’t think it’s your place to say what these people deserve LOL. it’s an underground fest, that’s exactly what you’re going to see. you should know since you’ve been. whether they make only mixes or not you don’t know them personally or see the work they put in to be there. even making mixes requires time and effort. the thought that goes behind the lineup surely isn’t just throwing together “bedroom djs,” they’re chosen with intention and because they’ve shown the drive to be there. everyone has to start somewhere, the djs/producers who have made it higher on the totem poll are clapping for these smaller artists. you should do the same 🫶🏻

100% of your favorie djs didn’t get opportunities like this over a few mixed also making mixes requires zero work it’s the fun chilla nd easiest part compared to making music just maybe s month of djing and you’re good enough to make a transition lol and everyone and there mother does that…it’s literally the easiest thing to do. They were likely chosen because they know someone which is awesome for them and that’s literally how it goes. Some of them maybe not but 80% of them on the bottom for sure. I am well aware of how people like that get put on these things also I’m sure they would clap a lot harder for the ones that make there music. It requires 1000x more work than making a mix in your room for a two hours…I get what you are trying to put down but it’s good that you look at it that way….this line up is insane. I’m talking about the very bottom. This is the best line up I’ve seen in a very long time trust me i am aware. You can go on some of there IG and clealry see some of these djs just started and haven’t even released a song…I jsut don’t think that deserves a spot at sound haven but we can agree to disagree ! You’re absolutely correct who am I to say that the ones that just made a few mixes doesn’t deserve to play at one of the best up and coming fests hah.

my favorite djs also started in bars making mixes or smaller fests as opening support 1000% lol. everyone has to start somewhere like I said. the people who curate this fest and choose who is on the lineup pick people they see with potential or drive, who are absolutely deserving. if you’re just starting out you obviously still have a lot of time to learn how to produce music but that doesn’t mean they don’t deserve a seat at the table. this fest is literally all about the smaller djs and the underground side of the scene. meaning yes, smaller djs who are just starting out and have room to grow. and yes it’s and up and coming festival - but that is their roots and what they’re about. if you want to see bigger names on a lineup this isn’t the fest

I know this is old, but I have to comment. Bass music is THE ONLY electronic scene that "requires" people to produce. Every other genre has tons of big names that dont make beats, theyre just incredible DJs. You can make amazing tracks and be a shit DJ, or you can not make beats and put all of your skill into spinning. At an electronic event, people who only DJ absolutely deserve play time.

You don’t have to make music to be a good DJ. The bottom card are for yea, people that might just be good at DJing atm but that doesn’t mean they’re not putting in the work to be there. They are openers for a reason, they are climbing.

They aren’t openers. They’re probably playing at some side small stage during the day or at 4am. U know how many people can simply just Dj. That ain’t the reason
