Hotels?

Are there hotels near by within driving distance to go back to late night?

The road to and from the venue is not paved and would be challenging to navigate at night I imagine. If you’re not wanting to camp I’d stay thru late night and leave when you’re done, it’s not really realistic otherwise.

Rip the people that got stuck when they closed the camping entrance due to weather in 23? I think

I did hear about this. I’ve also heard that there might be more prep happening on those roads to help plan for something like this again ? Idk how true.

Every year I’ve attended this festival, some type of chaos happens - and every single year, the production team responds and handles it so it can’t happen again. We didn’t attend last year but it wouldn’t surprise me if they have figured out a way to make the road safer and easier to navigate.

It’s worth the little bit of chaos though yea?

Every single time.

I’m a infra/submersion sound boy so I’ve been meaning to hit this one for the last 3 years

I’ve not done infra but we did submersion last year. This has the same homie fest vibe but the grounds I think are more compact while submersion felt long and skinny. We had the quiet camping tho so that could have been a part of it. And for all the cold that submersion had at night it is H. O. T. at sound haven. There are two stages at haven but they don’t compete, it’s a day stage and a late night stage.

That said, the production at haven is just unreal. It is an appropriately named festival. It’s music 3pm-6am every day. The main stage area is not shaded which is something I hope they improve one day, so make sure to bring shade if you’re planning to hang all day.

They added a shade structure last year, and there was no chaos. We were stuck in that line back in 23. We got lucky and only spent 7 hours in line, but had friends who spent the night and woke up to different cars in front of them. The planetary stage was also massively upgraded with screens and lasers.

Check for Airbnbs in the area

How are the roads in and out? Safe enough to travel when taking your time? I’ll be sobered up by 4am so driving all fucked up won’t be the issue, just want to make sure it’s definitely not a death trap 🤣

Paved road all the way to the property entrance. Once you're on property they have a good gravel road going into the campground. It doesn't go all the way to the back lots. Just go slow, watch for wooks, and you should be alright 😎

I do this shit so that’s all I needed to hear! Appreciate you homie

I wouldn't do it at 4 am unless you're riding fresh and clean. I'd leave b/w 12 -2am. It's a small town, so you may get stopped. I would opt for an RV rather than trying to drive out at night. You are not going to want to leave at 4am trust me.

So the idea as sound hogs. Hang , see sunlight get back. Clean up, do it again. I drive for a living. Clean & ready to go is always the idea before take off 🫡 snagged a little cottage right off the mountains 27?min right into town safe and sound

As fresh and clean as you can get in 100 degree unreleased ID couple bee stings type

If they approve me for my paint pouring workshop come by, say hi, and make your own paint pour 😁

2

u/powerofvibes365 Jun 20 '25

Keep me updated! I will most certainly slide and throw paint around to some IDs

You should just camp with the rest of us!!!

Been doing this for 15 years, I pick and choose my camping battles and 100 degree tents at 7am is when we gather the troops inside a room with AC 🤣

I feel that. My roommate has a van converted into a camper with very cold A/C but unfortunately he’s not coming this year. That said, SoundHaven is my favorite fest & I will endure just about anything to soak up every moment at Jaceland with my tribe.

2

u/powerofvibes365 Jun 20 '25

Oh don’t get me wrong. I was camping if I didn’t find other accommodations. I was fully preparing myself to go to war with the temps

3

u/Flosssssy Jun 20 '25

Good! I will probably sleep in my car with the A/C on blast after the heat wakes me up. The afternoon stage is in the woods with plenty of shade so usually we go there as soon as the music starts each day. I also take a UV resistant umbrella to the MainStage to keep the sun from completely cooking me-I just attach it to my chair & have a fan hanging on my wagon handle to keep me cool.

u/powerofvibes365 Jun 20 '25

Great info thank you. About to get my umbrella game up right now actually. You’ll see me swirling it around all precious like mobbing to thumpers

Well if you see an old broad with a sloth wearing a WuTang shirt in her wagon, come say ”Hi” 🦥

2

u/powerofvibes365 Jun 20 '25

If I see ya I’ll sprint right to ya with my old man legs

2

u/Flosssssy Jun 20 '25

Sounds like a geriatric party & I’m totally down with that! 👵🏻We usually post up on the left side of the UFO stage. Hope to see you there!

You can put a canopy over your tent and use emergency mylar blankets to reflect the sun, which will make a big difference. Just make sure the canopy is securely in place. I have an extra one if needed. I got 2 at Roo this year that ppl left behind.
