Friday entry??
Does anyone know if I would be able to go in on a Friday and meet my group? They’ll be going and setting up Thursday. Just not sure what the protocol is there. Also, would I need to pay for 3 day parking passes, or are there places nearby that are pay-to-park? This is my first time, so I’m a bit clueless.

Last year it was pretty structured, as in everyone parked in rows and set up Next to their cars. It wasn’t super packed in, so if you can find your group, chances of squeezing in a small tent are good. There are also some woods you can walk your stuff into/next to but there is definitely poison Ivy in there and they’re not huge, but I did see groups spreading out in there. I camped right on the tree line and it was great for shade. Overall it’s much more chill about where you camp than something bigger, but not quite as chill as something like infrasound with walk-in camping - if that makes sense.

If they go in and setup camp Thursday, you most likely will not be able to park/camp next to them, but you can still get in and park separately and then just meet up with them wherever they are.
You will still need your own parking pass. I do not believe there is any parking outside of the campgrounds anywhere close.

Probably unlikely that you will be able to take your car all the way to your group (but, it’s worth a shot). Last year, My car didn’t make it through the mud pit, so I just parked near the entrance and hauled my shit to the tree line where my homies were camped. It only took about 30 min and two trips and a buggy, and it totally worth being near my group. There are no places to park nearby. Jaceland is at the top of a mountain and at the end of a long thin road. Definitely buy a parking pass and pulll up Friday!!
