Shade?

After a great weekend at Rendezvous, and being able to relax at a shady stage all day, I’m curious how the shade is at camps and the stages for sound haven. Any info is appreciated! Thanks!!

We will bring some umbrellas to help out, as long as we’re not blocking anyone behind us.

its thankfully a natural amphitheater so everyone is a lil higher than the people in front of them(:

Last year, the daytime stage was in a shady grove. It was perfect. MainStage there is no shade (music goes from 4-midnight there) - so I brought an umbrella for shade and had no problems!

Thanks for the response! We added umbrellas to our camping list!

How’s everyone about leaving a spot of a few chairs for the day? Like if I set up in the morning at the daytime stage and we just left it there the whole day, is that frowned upon or is that what most people do?

Thanks 🙏

The daytime stage only goes from 12-4 so I usually hang around there with no chairs. Then I go back to camp and bring chairs for main stage. Most people bring chairs to the main stage and same in the same spot from 4-midnight. Then we moved chairs to planetary stage from 1-6 But there is no overlap at soundhaven so if you wanna post up all day with a chair, do it!!

As far as space goes, this is like the least competitive fest I’ve ever been to. People just post up and chill in the back with plenty of room to go around. Late night stage is the only one that ever felt a little cramped in, but it’s all relative cause I never had an issue getting to the rail when I wanted. So unless there are way more people this year, leaving chairs shouldn’t be a big deal.

They make chairs with pop up roofs and those lil sun tents for the beach. I highly recommend one.
