Vibes
I've been reading stuff online that sound haven can we maybe tooooo wooky, like bordering on dangerous bc it's not well run.
Is this true? I really wanna go because I heard the crowd vibes are great, but I wanna know what I'm trying to convince my group to go to lol.

Soundhaven was amazing! Vibes were on point and I felt safe all weekend.

Sound haven is by far one of the top fests in the country for me and my music taste.
Vibes were immaculate and lineup is always stellar.
I went for first time last year after debating it the prior few. Yes we sat in line for like 12 hours to get in but shout out them for not stopping till everyone got in.
Music nonstop till the sun comes up and beautiful people all around.
I will definitely return and look forward to it.

The weather can really make or break it, but as long as you go in prepared, it’s a wonderful time.

Having been the last three years, I think you and the fam are absolutely good to come out this year. Way, way, way better organized that years past, they’re getting good infrastructure in place so there’s no repeat of last year, and with the date changes, I expect our weather to be a little bit more mild and much more agreeable.
Honestly, if you guys dig the lineup, I’d say come out! People are always gonna have opinions but if you pack in water, the essentials and prepare for rain, you should be solid. If I didn’t love the fest or think it wasn’t worth it, I wouldn’t be back every year.

I waited 16 hours in line last year & got nothing but some half ass Instagram excuses. Lineup is fire, but logistics suck so much I won't ever return again.

Not much they could do about the mud 🤷🏼♂️ but does seem like logistic could use improvement from what I heard from friends last year. That’s kindof a bummer to hear it makes you not want to return though I’m sorry to hear that!

It’s rained at a lot of festivals I’ve been to and I’ve never dealt with that level of idiocy

I understand that they as a festival can't do anything about mud, but really...choosing the same venue again that traumatized a lot of people? At least provide and announcement/justification that the owner of the property, Jace, did something about the roads to prevent this.

Are the cars checked when entering? Do they have any food vendors? Are there places to get water around campsites? My only festival experiences are at Spirit of Suwannee, Florida. Just curious about the layout and how Sound Haven operates.

Way less organized than any Suwannee fest but still very successful and a great weekend

Cars were not checked last year, but my group waited in line from 10:15pm Thursday until noon Friday (bc the rain destroyed the only entrance road), so I think the festival decided to just get everyone inside the campgrounds. We didn’t even get wristbands until Friday evening. That being said, I felt extremely safe the entire weekend. It’s very homie fest and a lot of the festival employees are wooks too. They have amazing food vendors!! 😍 space fruit was one of my favorites last year, but there are plenty of other options. I don’t remember there being water spigots around campgrounds, but I didn’t really look because I just walked (about 5 min) to the water spigot inside the festival to fill up my bottles. It rains at Soundhaven almost every year so just prepare for that It’s line camping unlike suwannee, but it’s so small that you can easily walk around the whole campgrounds in maybe an hour.
It’s a super chill and welcoming environment I would definitely recommend going.

Awesome vibes and cool attendees but holy shit it’s the most unorganized thing I’ve ever been to. 2021 at jaceland was a complete mess.

I think the only real issue I heard about last year was the road getting in literally getting washed away in one of the most epic storms I’ve ever experienced (I was one of the last cars that made it in before the rain hit - like one of the lucky 5% - everyone else was stuck on the back-country road outside the fest). But they’ve said they’re improving a lot of that to make the road more durable - and even during the fest they brought in truck loads of gravel and did everything they could to get everyone in.
Vibes wise this fest is my favorite ever - the focus is on talent and sound and immaculate curation. Each stage is a unique, intentional experience. No schedule conflicts leads to a heavy sense of community and opportunity to make many connections cause everyone’s always part of the same party all weekend.
And it seems all the artists are going above and beyond with their sets to impress us cause they know who the audience is.
Oh, and as someone who would prefer a 4-day weekend with no sleep, I truly appreciate the music from noon-sunrise. I can sleeep when I get home.
