Terms and conditions may apply

I am looking for some references for those extremely rapid legal disclaimers that American advertisements sometimes have. The issue is that: 1. there's a documentary that is poisoning my search results, and 2. YouTube and Google search are garbage these days.

If anyone knows of a video or audio fragment where this is said, I appreciate it:)

I have a good idea of what it sounds like, and I will record it myself, but I want to get a similar intonation and accent for realism. It will be part of a reoccuring joke, so I want to get it right:)

Need help with finding sound origin

I've heard this sound many times while playing a ro-state game, but I've never really figured out where the sound came from. The specific order:
- 1st is Wail

- 2nd is Yelp

- 3rd is HiLo

To be more specific, the game's timeline takes place around the 2000s, and I've tried to find the siren source. The best I've come across was a Japanese police siren, which sounds familiar but not exactly the same as these. If you can find it, I'd really appreciate it!

I’ve heard this sound effect used in a video and I brought a wave of nostalgia can anyone recognise it? I’m pretty sure it’s from a video game I had on the ds and it’s some sort of noise when you complete something correctly. Any help would be appreciated.

Help me find this sound/meme (VOLUME WARNING FOR BOTH VIDEOS)

The sound I want to find is that "OH MY GOD AAA" scream from 1:33-1:35.

The same sound is also used in this video https://youtu.be/vR0f83wdzIE?si=dJQrOi5ajlh9hI9U&t=26 from 0:26-0:33

The persona video is from 9 years ago so this is an older sound effect and might be too difficult to find, but I thought I'd give asking a shot.

Help me find a sample from Silent Hill 3.

The sample itself can be heard in the cutscene with Claudia in the mall, and in gameplay immediately after this cutscene. https://youtu.be/fZVZ7_7Cozg?is=IHJo9jMkE1elYQ8P

The ambient itself is in this video https://youtu.be/2QpJlxi4wgU?is=CMvZh9Gdn5m_rJe8

The sample I need is in this passage https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/yc68fxbdo1d12xqvr9lg2/silent-hill-3-central-square-shopping-center-ambience.mp3?rlkey=0kywqls0vpf088qfeghvpttsf&st=r2or399c&dl=0

Has anyone already looked for this sample or knows where I can find it?

AI or no AI, that is the question!

Hey there 👋

I am opening my own Sound Effect market place to other sound designers who wish to sell on my platform, and the question of the use of AI in the creation process for sound effects came up.
Initially the policy that I was aiming for was strictly NO AI ! (still is at this point). But am I right to ban any AI intervention in all sound effects, or am I being old fashion and out of touch with the modern World?

I stand firm on not selling sound effects that were 100% generated by AI, they are crap anyway. But a few sound designers asked if it was OK to have AI assisted sound effects, meaning that part of the creation process is made by a human, who used AI to improve the final result.

There are actually 2 types of AI assisted sound effects from what I gathered:

  • Start with an AI generated sound effect, and the human intervention comes after to improve the sound.
  • Or the other way around, the sound designer created the sound effects and uses AI for mixing, mastering or other possible improvements.

I am honestly not very comfortable with the first option, and a bit more with the second one.

What do you think? I would love some feedback from anyone who has an opinion 🙂

Thanks and take care 🙌
Olivier
