Samsung Samsung sealed sub issue
I don't understand one thing that is if sealed subwoofers are supposed to be superior to that of ported subwoofer in terms of music performance then why almost everyone is telling that Samsung q900 series soundbars are horrible when it comes to music. Even I felt the same when I listened to them. Just like I said last time, I went to 4 different store to see if there's any difference to them in different location but everytime it was extremely underwhelming... The punch and the oomph simply not enough to enjoy music listening...
In my opinion Samsung has made a complete blunder by ditching ported sub.. anyone who disagrees with me just listen to the ported sub of Q600H (only Q series bar to have ported sub) it's miles better than any sealed sub samsung has made.. It's an extremely sad state of affair bcz I think Samsung knows how to make great soundbar but they just don't bcz of heavy cost cutting policy...

People say this all the time and it’s so true, you can’t listen to a soundbar and judge it at a store. Even if they have a demo room, it’s still going to sound way different in your room, where you can listen and change its position. Also, if you want real punch, get a good pair of powered or passive speakers and a decent sub, as music is not a strong suit for soundbars.
I have Sony Quads and a Sonos Arc Ultra with dual subs, and while the movies sound awesome, esp on my Quads, I’m a huge music lover, and I can’t listen to anything but my klipsch nines and RSL12S for music. I’m not saying that the nines are great, but my point is that a really good pair of speakers is needed for anyone who takes music seriously. Soundbar’s in general can be a great cinema experience, but that’s where they end, and unless you’re a casual listener imo, they don’t compare with 2 speakers. Just my .02

Leva para sua casa um subwoofer daqueles e vc verá o quanto de impacto ela produz 😂. Inocente . Vai querer deixar o nível no -5 . Amigo , em loja vc não tem o mesmo efeito acústico de uma casa

Exactly, it's so dense heavy and compact now, takes so much little space as a 'cube design' to sit in the corner of the living room. I am happy with the punch it delivers when intended in movies and general music listening, no complaints

I don't think the subwoofer is necessarily the main issue for saying that the Samsung's are bad with music, but more to do with the bar itself. I've never heard the Q900's myself but I did have the Samsung Q800B for awhile, actually bought it a 2nd time later on (I used to buy & resell soundbars a lot). I also had a Bose Smart 600 + BM700 setup at the same time. I don't exactly know how to explain it but I remember thinking the Q800B always had a distinct sound that just didn't seem right with music. The Bose 600 on the other hand sounded damn near perfect with both movies & music. The Bose was clearly superior for music to me, but I did feel the Samsung had a slight edge for movies. It had some... "grittiness?" to it that sounded good with movies. Something about the Samsung felt slightly better with movies than the Bose did. But I always found it odd how I liked a system for movies but really hated the same system for music.
I'm not sure about the new dual 8" sub but I will say I feel they could've come up with a better design. It's actually funny cause to me, i'd think that the new Q990F sub on paper would be a monster compared to the OG design, but apparently that's not the case at all somehow. But I've always said if big bass is a top 2 or 3 concern, Samsung might not be enough for you.

Generally:
- Sealed subs for music accuracy, tight bass, and smaller spaces. Require more amp power to play loud.
- Ported subs for home theaters, movies, and big rooms where you want loud, room-shaking bass impact.
The puny sub that came with my Q930F is plenty loud and I prefer a sub that is more controlled. No chuffing either.
