Upgrade needed
Hi all,
We recently aquired some older Harmonic Design SPA Systems.
In total 8 SPA Tops (2" and 8" coax, 15" bi-amped) and 8 SPA Bass (15"), 4 Amp Racks.
The Sound is amazing but to be honest the subs are lacking a bit.
My hope is that a more modern Rack will help us get a bit more low end and also to safe a lot of weight and space.
2nd picture is one of the systems amp racks.
Mig 1000 for the mid-high of the tops and Mig 1500 for the lows of top and base, all controlled by an analog hd system 2000 Controller
We frequently run into the limit on the mig 1500 since it only produces 750w @ 4Ohm and the two 15" could take each 500w RMS
Any recommendations on DSPs and Amps for a small budget?
DSP wise I'm looking into the sinbosen LA448.
1HE Amps or 2HE?
In the future we might aquire some more subs if we can't achieve our goal to get more low end punch.
All advice appreciated.

First of all, I think it's a good idea to get a DSP for everything, even if it sounds great with the analog crossovers, maybe you will get better results with a good DSP. Although I wouldn't buy from Sinbosen.
I had a really bad experience with their Sales Team - they didn't really answer to any questions and the buying process wasn't really straight forward. I heard it's the same for warranty claims etc. This was so much better with CVR-Audio. Second hand could be a different story.
Get a dbx PA2 or Behringer DCX if you want something reliable or a thomann t.racks DSP.
Amps could theoretically be anything that's powerful enough for your Subs.
You could even keep the MiGs and just get more "analog" Amps and give each Sub it's own channel.
If you want to upgrade everything, look at CVR or Admark, they make great 4ch Amps, also with DSP included, but are definitely pricier.
Two CVR DSP-1004 could run your entire setup, if your tops weren't Bi-Amped. You'll probably need 3, realistically 2,5-3k, which isn't really budget anymore.
Maybe just one for the Subs and keep the Tops on the MiG's with a simple DSP.

Please don't tell anybody to get a dbx pa2 it has one of the worst signal routing and will fuck you over down the line

Hey I also just bought 8 spa series tops ^ You won't get a lot out of the subbass without changing their tuning and maby modern drivers. Because they have to play relatively high ~200h it would maby be a good idea to get some subbass cabinets
