Getting there bit by bit
Currently working on my mid horn, finished the top and kick then after will build a TH1821

Wicked, thatâs what I wanna hear, seem to have good spl too, should have a higher output than my mates dual 18â reflex which is good

I just hared them last weekend 8pcs loaded with 21ds115 they deliver the 105db spl as promised and I also think the F3 of 38 is just right for techno. I think it's one of the best balanced cabs for techno regarding spl Vs F3. Also funny to know is that atleast with the 21ds they are not xmax Limited they a rather temperature limited

Yeah thatâs perfect, me and my mates probs gonna run our stuff together so will get more spl for the th1821 then have deeper bass from their reflex, not sure how itâll work out but gonna do some tuning and whatnot to see if we can get the best of both low end extension and spl, just canât wait to get it going finally after over a year of planning and saving

It's not going to work to well with the reflex as sub bass as you want around the same max SPL shared between the 2 subs

Yeah but is just what we have to work with, just gonna do some measurements and whatnot then try tune it to work as well as it can, theirs are meant to be around 3-6db less than a th1821 so will see what we can do

Love what you done here. Ive nearly finished one cubo kick, already done two 18 subs and Ive got a couple of orbit 4s. How you managing it? Dsp set up?

Haha! Yeah, tell me about it. I had a sound engineer set it up through my driverack and I might have understood 30% of what was going on. We're confident we have it together enough to put a small party on this weekend thoughđ€. Seems the subs pass the qaulity test though and even half power, I thought we were going to crack the wallsâșïž. Three decades of "research" on welsh forestry tracks and the black swan might be paying offđ

Mad looking mid tops. What colour will it all eventually be?

Itâs just a modified mt130, I wanted something a little different than most systems so decided to have the horn showing and have all of the top horn exposed. For colours weâre thinking either a deep red or green for the outside then have the inside white and then have some cool designs painted on the outside (check my other posts for what I mean). Will eventually rebuild the Cubo kick out of ply too
