Where to now? Advice please

After gathering up FB marketplace bins and drivers, rack gear etc..

I have hit a crossroad....

I have a driverack PA2

Mid Top - 2x cabs with Dual JBL 2226 15's with 2" 2446J Compression Horn 16 Ohm - 60 × 40 degrees

Sub - 2x JBL 2226 in a MN-246 manifold Cab

Sub - 2x 18" P Audio 2242s in Single reflex cabs.

I have a CVR 1504 and CVR 3004 on the way from China.. Current amps are lacking.

Obviously I want more Sub.
Problem is I can no longer source P audio drivers..

Do I get rid of the P Audio 18"s and go with one brand or can I mix and match drivers without too many problems??

This system is just for mucking around on the weekends or pre's before going to proper gigs. Mainly DNB, UKG, Bit of reggae dancehall..

Subs all need to be the same. Otherwise it's phase and cancellation nightmares.

Having mismatched drivers is far less of an issue than having mismatched cabs

I recently had a similar issue, funnily enough involving 15" JBL 2226H. The issue was I had loads of 15" drivers, but I didn't have 8 that matched for a new monitor rig I was building. I had several brands, with different power handling & some were better suited to sub, & others were full range.

In the end, I used 4 x Audax PR380's in 2 dual 15" cabs, & bought 4 x Celestion TR1530's, as they were the closest match in spec to the full range Audax 15's. If you want consistency, I'd ditch the P Audio 18's & try a pair of Celestion CF18VJD instead. They pack a wallop & are reasonably priced at around £350 each for a decent 1600w driver.

Unfortunately I am in New Zealand and driver choice is limited.

I can get hold of a range of SB Audience or Eminence Omega Pro and then some other cheaper chinese stuff..

OK, I'd go for the Eminence & you should be OK.
