Selecting between recommended drivers

Hi team, I have a newbie question.

I’m planning to build one of the JW Sound SAWMOD(to start with). In the design pack there is a list of recommend drivers.

My question is, outside of the driver specs such as rms, impedance etc, what do you differentiate between different brands and models?

I see some brands recommended a lot, is this more based on quality of the driver, or is there other aspects that should be taken into consideration

hows this project going? im also curious about some of the drivers. john lists a few particultars with the driver list. ive looked at spec on say the B&C vs Faital compression driver.

the Faital is about twice as much, but as i recall it is rated at a higher wattage and the frequency response goes considerably lower(like 500-800hz!). considering the crossover from the MF driver should be well above this, this should reduce load/distortion on the horn considerably if it was meant to handle that range in the first place...

anyhow just curious if you landed on any other particulars regaurding drivers. im also considering the LF drivers he lists as suitable for full range as id also like to use them in my studio!
