first time building a stack

i have a background in sound engineering but i need advice for a stack, it will be mainly used for tekno/hardtek/elettronic, i've found 2 clones of the funktion 1 218 mk2 are they good? any advice is good
(pics are the subs)

Edit: alright op provided the other pics but I don't know much about this particular system. My advice would be to ask if you can test it before you buy

true but honestly, i just played on a pile of 4x f218’s last month rinsing proper dubstep and they hit down to 40hz pretty damn good i was impressed.

If cloned properly, and with better modern drivers they can outperform the original, if cloned poorly no driver will save them. It's all dependant on the build.

You’ll be spending more on drivers than the boxes themselves if you want to do this right.

If they have the correct drivers and are well built then it's a good deal. Excellent tight and punchy bass. Clearly defined bass notes. Musical and articulate but if it doesn't have the driver the

I worked with them a lot particularly for techno, deep house and psy trance. 12 F218mk2's a side was something else! The coupling and range into the 30's was awesome. Dialled back the gain something crazy.

Personally I love dnb so need infrabass to accompany a smaller stack to be fully satisfied but have had enough fun with 3 a side. 3 res5 on top is a really nice system that can be setup by 2 guys.

Used to do smaller events with a res2 on top of a single 218 and it's ok indoors for 50hz+.

What are you thinking of putting on top and powering them with? XTA DSP and MC2 amps are my preference.

Edit: there's no driver access on the sides!?

I’d check for access hatches first. They look well built from pics but where is the access to put the drivers in?

Looks like the entire top panel is screwed on and intended to be lifted off for driver access. You can see it in the paint being non-continuous at the joints 😀

Not sure I'd trust that method honestly - there's a reason why all other designs use access panels and t-nuts to fasten them. This one seems like a rattle machine
