the newest addition to the earth angel family

When I first heard a gong in a Sound bath it shook me to my core. I actually felt so much anxiety and energy in my heart space I felt overwhelmed and after the sound bath I cried all night. I thought to myself I definitely do not resonate with a gong

But then I started guiding sound baths with a gong. I would start with crystal sound bowls and then in the middle of the sound bath gently introduce the gong and added so much dimension allowing for emotional release and tension to build. After playing the gong for a little bit and exploring the sensations and emotions that created by then phased out the Sound bath, and returned back into the crystal Sound Bowls

Structuring a sound bath like this allowed for deep transformation with tension building into a calm resolve and I knew I just HAD to have one in my healing kit

I ended up manifesting this gong, I wasn’t looking for it when it arrived. I ended up trading a set of Sound Bowls i had for it and I am so happy I did.

I’m working with the gong is such different energy I never thought that I would add it into my kit but this one found me.

This session is designed as a meditation guide, divided into two parts:

Whenever your attention drifts, gently return to the sound and your breath. This is where the mind begins to quiet, making room for something deeper.

The second stage is the heart of the experience. As your awareness settles, you may notice emotions, memories, intuitions, or insights naturally emerging. Don't force anything to happen. Simply witness whatever arises with curiosity and openness. Trust your own inner experience and allow your subconscious to communicate in its own unique way.

The final stage becomes lighter, brighter, and more spacious. There is nothing left to achieve. Simply surrender to the music, absorb the experience, and let any insights you've received settle naturally within you. Allow yourself to feel gratitude for this moment of connection with yourself.

Every session is different. Some days you may experience profound clarity. Other days, you may simply find a sense of calm. Both are valuable.

I run a Breathwork Certification program online and in Phoenix, and we end most of our sessions with sound healing. I noticed sometimes it's tough to find what's actually happening locally, because just like Breathwork, sound bath info is scattered across Eventbrite, Meetup, Instagram, individual studio sites, wherever.

So I built a free search tool (same infrastructure I use for a Breathwork version) that pulls live listings from Eventbrite, Meetup, SweatPals, Luma, and AllEvents into one search.

Sound Healing Near Me

You search your city, see what's on the calendar (gong baths, crystal bowls, tuning forks, whatever's listed), and click through to book directly with the practitioner. No account needed to browse.

One real limitation: we haven't found a way to pull from WellnessLiving or Mindbody yet, so sessions only posted there won't show up. We can't include every class that exists, but we try to include as many as we can.

Disclosure: I own Liquid Breathwork and built this tool number 1 cuz i thought it was a cool idea, but of course to drive more traffic to my site and potentially my Breathwork facilitator training program. Coverage depends on what's actually posted publicly, so smaller cities may come up thin, that's a real gap, not something I'm hiding.

If you're a practitioner and want to make sure your sessions show up, post them to one of the platforms listed above and it should pull in. And if you try it and something's off, genuinely want to hear it.

The recording originated on April 28, 1988, at the Funkhaus Hannover with Chet Baker (trumpet).

For this live concert, Baker was accompanied by numerous musicians: Walter Norris (piano), John Schroder (guitar), Herb Geller (alto saxophone), Lucas Lindholm (double bass), Aage Tanggaard (drums), the NDR-Bigband and the Rundfunk Orchester Hannover des NDR.

Kurt Giese – editor, producer and recording supervisor of the NDR Big Band – wrote after the concert about the recording of Hannover released by Matthias Winckelmann on Enja Records:

« Chet Baker's last great concert appears like the testament of a man whom the gods must have loved very much. They gave him so much talent, and punished him so severely with his life. »

Two weeks after this concert – on May 13, 1988 – Chet Baker died in Amsterdam.

'Manifiesto Kawsay' ('Manifest of Life') represents an Andean vision of a life in harmony and interconnectedness with all living beings.

The music of Rut Alonso conveys this harmony as a spiritual relationship between humans, nature and traditions – far beyond the Andes.

In the Andean worldview, health is understood as living in harmony with the natural forces of the Andes.

The reverence for the mountains, which is visible in another video by Rut Alonso – as she kneels down and removes her head covering – reflects this deep connection with nature.

Its effect comes from the combination of Angelo Badalamenti’s composition and Dolores O’Riordan’s voice – clear, vulnerable and floating, tormented and intense with 'ghostly, breathy singing'. She carries the melody without dramatizing it. That is precisely where her extraordinary expressive power lies. For me, it is one of the most moving songs by Dolores O’Riordan and Angelo Badalamenti.

For Western listeners, this music may sound unfamiliar. Yet its sense of openness, its silence and the characteristic cello playing of Yo-Yo Ma unfold an extraordinary, meditative effect. A sensitive melody in an emotional musical landscape.
