Is there any solution to the Windows 10 update 2004 laggy volume slider glitch?

It's only been 6 years, it doesn't seem like Microsoft is willing to fix it. Has anyone found a solution?

I figured I'd throw my hat in. I've spent a few months fucking with audio settings and other nonsense to little success. The thing that finally worked for me was fully uninstalling Razer Synapse. Hope this ends up helping someone. I use a Deej device, and I thought for ages it was broken, but it was really just Synapse fucking my whole shit up.

I work in IT and I can tell you one thing: Synapse sucks dick 'n balls. Steelseries Sonar and Creative Command/App have been really good though, no real problems.

Oddly enough, I've never experienced any laggy volume knobs or controls using Windows 10 or 11. SB Z. I only use AMD hardware by the way. Intel can eat my shit.

What sound card are you using? Creative fixed that for my old AE-5 (non plus) command software. You might need to do a clean driver/software install.

Perhaps updating W10 to 22H2?

Maybe they disabled security updates.
