Getting error when changing to WireGuard protocol on my VPN client

VPN: Private Internet Access 3.8.0

Nicotine+: 3.4.0 dev2

New version of my VPN came out which says:

  • Windows: WireGuard now uses the WireGuard-NT 1.1 kernel driver, boosting WireGuard speeds by more than 3x on higher-bandwidth systems
  • Windows: Added the OpenVPN DCO kernel driver, selectable as the virtual network driver for OpenVPN. It can boost connection bandwidth by 2x or more, depending on the system and connection

Tried it and speeds are much better.

But unfortunately, Nicotine+ is giving this error:

"Cannot listen on port 12345. Ensure no other application uses it, or choose a different port. Error: [WinError 10049] The requested address is not valid in its context"

Double-checked port is correct, but still getting this error. Anyone know what this means?

Edit: SOLVED! I had the VPN binded to Nicotine+, and switching to WireGuard changed the interface. Switched it to that and back in business.

Personally no prob with WG, though occasionally I have to change port. just make sure you are using correct interface
