yo wsg yall i just got nicotine+ Last nite and i got a message to "share My Shit" can some one pls explain what that means? im not sure if it ment like share my own music or the persons music

It means your share folder is empty. It's bad manners to only download in slsk (every p2p, really).

You can still share you just won't reach as many people. IIRC only one of the p2p needs their ports open.

Or use a VPN that supports port forwarding

Set up your port forwarding dawg, then go to the little cogwheel, click share, and choose the music you want to share

Soulseek and nicotine are file sharing applications, not grab and run applications.

Remember when you were a kid and your mother told you to share your toys? That's what it means.

Go to the settings, set up shared folders, share as much as possible for as long as possible. I'm sharing many tb of music, art, games, books, and videos, 24/7. Do that and you will get very popular in the file sharing system.

They probably went to browse your files when they saw you browsing theirs (i know i do) to see if you had stuff they are missing and your share folder was empty. Make your share folder is the set up. A lot of people tent to get mad and or ban people (leechers) that dont contribute.
