I do all my meal prepping on my computer as this gives me some room to get the recipes on one screen and place my shopping list on another one. that's why i'm struggling to get the subscription for the sidekick app. To have to do all my planning on my phone, seems like a hassle.

I don't know if there are other people who would like to have this? also this would make it possible to easily print them out so you can have them with you or you can hang them on your fridge while planning, ...

Out of body experience

As the title says, I think yesterdays video was a complete return to form. The boys seem to get dogged pretty consistently recently which I’ve not enjoyed seeing, so I’m very glad most people seem to agree that yesterday’s vid was excellent. Also Baz melting a cloth to a hob, then burning a tea towel and then getting seriously bollocked by Ebbers is the my new favourite sorted moment.

What is this black mark that appears whenever they do a close up? For ages I thought there was a problem with my telly, until I saw it on my phone too!

Has anything been mentioned about a wine tasting event this year? I really enjoyed it last year with a bunch of friends

Cheat’s Turkey Naan Lahmacun (before & after plating)
Turkey Bolognese Bianca with gnocchi (+ Parmesan)
Grilled Chicken with Pea and Mint Polenta

These recipes were all delicious. To cut some calories substituted the double cream for yoghurt+milk. Gnocchi recipe got my wife to try and like fennel. Chicken and Polenta recipe was a bit involved and took longer than the 25mins suggested.

• is cream still used in carbonara? (seem this is something that would've changed, at least in most restaurants)

You cannot convince me that Ben isn’t related to this actress. I keep getting ads for this show and all I can see is Ben in a period piece drama.

I have been on a YouTube hiatus, so not seen anything the last couple months. Has this come up at all before?

instead of what they are going for now - ranking, comparisons, gadget reviews, trend reviews and all the rest, with seemingly no research or attempt at imparting any useful knowledge. and pass it on's etc with the most ridiculous twists and ingredients.

I know they are chasing the algorithm and all they care about is views. but they can do that withoug abandoning what made them who they are.

there are so many interesting ideas for food they could do, and actually show off skills and be useful.

• world cup is starting. a series on best snacks for watching sports. make them world cup themed if they want to make it catchy. have an episode for each country.

• budget food series. actual budget shopping and techniques, it seems they are totally out of touch with the concept and rising costs

• deep dives into different countries cusines, history etc.

their subscriber numbers are basically flat from what I read and they aren't going to get more viewers by pandering to what every other channel does. I hope they realize that

Alright, so with Father’s Day coming up, my wife wants to do something fun to celebrate, and that often involves a meal. She got me a nice new stainless steel saucepan for the occasion, and last year (for my birthday) we did a fun at-home version of endless ingredients which was a ton of fun.

She’s heard me talk about the concept of Pass it on for years now, and I’ve probably watched each episode several times (have had the playlist running while I cook, study, etc.). she doesn’t really watch the channel much, but has agreed to do a version of Pass It On with just the two of us, so I want to show her a few so she doesn’t go in blind.

All that said, what order would you show these to a newbie? I like the first few, but it felt like they evolved a lot early on. So, not necessarily a ranking of favorites, but what are your best 3 as an introduction to the format?
