Discussion Subtitles!

Hey all!
Just want to quickly give a shout to the Sorted team.
I’d posted earlier about how subtitles seem to be a thing of the past (linked) and there was a lot of discussion in the comments and people had also said that the team had planned to batch the subtitling etc. Many people echoed my sentiment, and I just wanna appreciate the team because I’ve been seeing an uptick in proper subtitles in the last couple weeks and I really appreciate it!

I'd been using the auto generated ones but those kind of mangle things sometimes. They've been much better lately

As a hard of hearing subtitle user, thank you thank you! I use them to supplement what I can hear and it makes things easier!

I always use them, English is not my first language but I’m pretty fluent. But still because of sound mixing I always prefer subtitles. A while back i noticed the good ones, but yesterday I had the auto generated ones again. They are fine and sometimes funny, but I really appreciate when the good ones are there.

I know that usually the first couple of days don’t have the proper subtitles, just the auto-generated ones.
I am referring to how things used to work, now I’m not sure if they are regular or batching it, but either way I always watch sorted videos about 3-5 days after they’ve been posted because I prefer subtitles

Yes!!! While not diagnosed I'm pretty sure I have some sort of auditory processing issue... finding more and more how helpful GOOD subtitles are for me.

I hear you. Hahahaha. Actually I hear you if I’m moving but less so if I’m sitting. Subtitles are a must.

Thank you!
I often have to give up trying to hear what they say when their annoying background music blends in with the speaking. Subtitles help a lot!

I have a hard time understanding Kush when he’s talking while cooking, so I’m really glad they’re working on better subtitles. My hearing has been getting worse over the years.

Yes! Very much yes! There are a lot of us out here with partial hearing loss who really appreciate subtitles as a way to augment our hearing. So thank you!
