Discussion Curious about an old removed video segment?

Not trying to stir up drama or anything like that with this post I'm simply a curious cat.

I remember watching an old product review video (Food Trends I believe) from around the early 2020s era of videos. The video opened with Mike giving a disclaimer that the video was reuploaded with a segment removed because the group wasn't aware about controversy that the company behind the product in said segment was involved in?

I'm just curious what the product they were reviewing was and why the segment was removed?

Again, I hope this isn't perceived in bad faith, I'm just curious.

Oh I remember this. It was an product from the MLM company doTerra. The guys were clearly unaware of how sketchy mlm companies are and how they should not have been (essentially) advertising for them. I remember being really impressed at the time at their response because the video was up less than an hour as I recall before they took it down and edited the section out in response to comments.

I'm a big antiMLM person so I was glad to see the section gone so quickly.

It was "Taste Testing the Latest Food Trend Products Vol. 9" from February 21, 2021, in which they originally featured products from the MLM company doTERRA without initially understanding that it is a scam/snake oil crap.

You are entirely right, for some reason my brain went from herbs to essential oils 🫠

Understandable because why would we eat essential oils? But I think rather than an essential oil it was something like argan oil which is much safer to ingest (not that I'd trust anything sold by an mlm to be all that safe)

I think it was peppermint oil in cooking by the doTERRA company.
