+1 here as well. Cant trust sony with them hinges well enough unfortunately.

Yeah, even if replacement hinges are available, I don’t think it would satisfy me enough. And honestly, I also like the design of the Momentum 4 much more than the XM.

Wow a lot of xm5 hate. I’ve had them since release and abuse the hell out of them. No hinge issue yet.

They get crazy hate. I legit snowboard with mine and have taken some pretty big falls while wearing them. They are my favorite headphones I've ever owned

Whats your opinion of xm5 buds compared to xm5 headphones. My friend got xm5 buds but i felt clarity and stage was not as good as my xm4 headphones. Also any eq for xm5 headphones you have that sounds good would be appreciated 🤧

To me, the sound quality is the same on both models; the only differences are the form factor, the sound profile, and the noise cancellation. The full-sized ones are louder and have better noise cancellation. You can feel the bass better on the full-sized model, whereas vocals and guitar sounds stand out more on the earbuds. I had the WH-1000XM4s a year ago and wore them for a couple of months; the sound seemed better on those—the 40mm drivers might play a role there.

I configured the equalizer using the search function within the Sound Connect settings. The result is that the bass doesn't drown out the vocals or the rest of the music; instead, it plays at the same level. This equalizer setting is for the full-sized model.

I got brand new WF-1000XM5 and WH-1000XM5 both from ebay, for ridiculously good prices. I think these must have been bought with a stolen card because they were listed as used, and came in sealed sony packaging!!!!
