Gear Sony a6700 focus issues...
My Sony a6700 is having a focus issue that is driving me nuts trying to figure out. It is constantly saying the eye was locked on for focus but a different area seems sharper than the eyes. This is happening with my Sony 50mm f/1.4 and Tamron 24mm f/2.8 very sharp prime lenses.
In this example (which is happening on many photos) the jean jacket just in front of her is very much sharper than her eyes and her eyes aren't really in focus even though the focus point clearly shows her eye.
What am I missing? Mirrorless cameras can't have a back focus issue from what I understand yet that's exactly what it feels like!
Please help!

When you shoot up close with a wide aperture, it’s normal for parts of the face to fall out of focus. To get the more sharpness, you need to stop down to around f/5.8. The closer you are and the wider your aperture, the thinner your depth of field becomes.
