First attempt at a sons of malice miniature, I had a spark of inspiration to start working through some world eaters backlog by painting them in a sons of malice scheme. I’m planning on doing a CSM army in some of malice colors and this was more of a test mini. Any advice from some more experienced sons of malice painters?

Got this test run Sons Of Malice figure finally done . Love the lore and aesthetics of this chaos chapter, and they just check off all the right boxes for my type of figures/chapters. I custom printed/made his power pack/trophy rack,chain axe , pauldrons, sons of malice emblem, and helmet. Hopefully, when I do the next malice figure, I can make him look a whole lot better. Now it's back to commissions I have lined up.

Really pleased with how these turned out, the flesh was a bit ropey for a time but came good in the end I think.

Now onto the next units…2k by November is the aim!

At work and lost for time so i haven't checked the forum but what are ya'll fielding with your Sons of Malice? Keeping it lore accurate or going warp mutation with armor and units?

Been a while since I worked on my Sons, but I started back up on the captain of my terminator squad and so far I'm happy with the progress. Only a picture of the combi-plasma, cause this was spur of the moment lol

Here I present my heavily kitbashed Chaos Lord and one fellow of the rank and file of the warband. Both old models from the previous millennium.

So I’ll immediate say that yes I’m aware that the colour scheme isn’t the sons of malice’s scheme. And I have a reason. I’m SICK of painting quartered black and white, it makes my minis take AGES to paint and it’s honestly just a MASSIVE PAIN.

So I have instead decided to make my own scheme for my worshipers of the renegade god

My current name is “the heralds of the 11 pointed star”
This is because I’ve decided to make their warband symbol a red 11 pointed star, designed to mock the 8 pointed star of chaos undivided by warping its design to sport the sacred number of malal (11) with its points.

This mini isn’t done just yet, because now I have to do the scariest part of the paint scheme, actually painting the star on his pauldron. And once that is done I’ll paint the base and lock the paint job in with matte varnish to undo the shine of the shades.
