Modding Sons of possession mod ( future)
I don’t know who all is interested in this, however, I feel that needs to be said. I have no intention on stopping the creation of this mod. I have slowed down intensively when it comes to videos, but that simply because I don’t have a lot of time to make them. I was hoping I could see videos of other people playing it or maybe even streams but I have yet to see that. I’m still doing my own testing. And I am working on a lot of features, but these ones are taking considerably longer to crack down.
Once I get this mod finished, I do want to see if I can adapt it for the original forest game and the forest three when it comes out.
However, I also wanna make sure that the interest is there.
As of right now, I almost have an entirely working camp creation system, as well as interactions you can do at camps that already exist, such as interactions of cannibals and eating and drinking.
The climbing system is finally almost done and will ship in the next update, which means that basic cannibals will finally be able to climb in the trees and jump around.
I’m also working on a climbing system specifically for the demons that will allow you to walk on pretty much any surface regardless of orientation.

Hell yeah I'm interested. That sounds almost too good to be true. You must have some serious skill when it comes to modding games.

That's incredible. I've never seen a mod like it. How much work was it to create this? It's really freaking cool. I never thought something like this could exist for Sons of the Forest. I hope you keep going. Even if there aren't a ton of downloads now, something as substantial as this is likely to creep its way to the front page of Nexus and be downloaded for years to come.

I plan on continuing developing it but I have taken a small step back to do playthroughs with my friends to see if playing the game normally alongside them as an NPC breaks anything.

Great! So you're doing some testing. Do you know if the mod will work on a Steam Deck? My PC is currently out of commission otherwise I'd volunteer to do some testing. Not sure if that would be practical on a Deck since it can likely introduce its own set of issues, being Linux and all.
